LATEST UPDATE: Thanks to everyone's incredible vigilance and support; Rebecca was able to trace her biological mother. Every share, tip, and message played a vital role in this search, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who stepped up to help bring closure to this family.

HELP REUNITE: U.S.-Born Adoptee Rebecca Seeks To Be Reunited With Her Biological Ugandan Mother! Help get in touch should you have any leads please.

Hello, my name is Rebecca S.

I was born in Virginia state (USA) 27 years ago and adopted shortly after birth. I am searching for my biological parents, whose names I do not know.

From the non-identifying information I received with my adoption records, I was told that my birth mother was a college student from Uganda who gave birth to me while she was in the United States. Unfortunately, I do not have any details about the college she attended or the city where she lived.

I want to say that I hold no negative feelings — my adoptive parents raised me with love and gave me a wonderful life. I am simply hoping to understand my roots, meet my biological parents, and possibly build a relationship with them. I would also love for them to know me and see the person I’ve become.

If you have any information, or if you know someone who may have been a Ugandan student in the U.S. around that time who placed a child for adoption, please reach out. It's possible that my birth mother still lives in the United States or may still be in Virginia or nearby states like Maryland.

Thank you so much for your kindness and help.
