Dream Starter Foundation (DSF) is a non-profit, non-political voluntary organization established to provide humanitarian interventions and support towards social-economic and academic empowerment of disadvantaged children in marginalized communities. he same year with Incorporated URSB Registration Number: 80020003863528 with the main purpose to fundraise and raise resources needed to support Dream Starter Foundation’s projects in Uganda and also to promote multicultural diversity in communities by promoting integration and intercultural dialogue and work with a diverse and inclusive society as the organization has to be involved in various activities. The operations of the organisation will be in line with government policy and frame work in social and economic fields. We are seeking to bring solutions to Children and other marginalized categories of children most touching, four issues identified in Uganda, that is, Education by providing quality education, Social and health, social support(social services) and child protection or safety community service.
“We believe that Using the people who were/are part of the community who are part of the community suffering the problems, the best solutions can be achieved. We therefore use the Human Centered-Design (HCD) approach, a Bottom-up Strategy as there is nothing for us without us.”
During post COVID-19 era, it is estimated 4.5 Million children may not have returned to school in 2022. Most of them are teen girls that have been impregnated or forced into child labour. Over 650,000 teenage school girls gave birth during the two-years of COVID-19 Lockdown. Dream Starter Foundation (DSF) partners with communities , local leaders, government and other stakeholders for Uganda in which every girl and child is able to live life in its reality.

The main concern of Dream Starter Foundation (DSF) is the kind of life they lead while in the Republic of Uganda. Most children do not have access to formal education. Most children have suffered a number of violence ranging from sexual abuse and exploitation, human rights abuse, psychological and physical torture and no means of livelihood. High number of single mothers and child mothers, early and forced marriages, high prevalence of HIV/AIDS and Sexual Gender Based Violence (SGBV), low self esteem, illiteracy, unemployment, and most people are living in poverty; are some of the indicators of these sufferings. Dream Starter Foundation (DSF) will be working in the Republic of Uganda providing voluntary services to Extremely Voluntary Individuals (EVIs), Providing Life and Vocational skills through training for self reliance, fighting HIV/AIDS and SGBV, supporting and helping orphans, vulnerable and other disadvantaged children. Dream Starter Foundation (DSF) will enroll and train disadvantaged children for activities through its Vocational training Activities for Self-reliance (VAS) project, distribution of scholastic materials like books to school children, engage children in games and sports, Music Dance and Drama activities in different places and sensitizing communities on HIV/AIDS spread, prevention and positive living and SGBV. Dream Starter Foundation (DSF) not-for-profit organization is an outfit of all members of the community who have agreed to come together for the sake of unity and development. The organization has an impeccable motto, “MAKING EVERY CHILD’S DREAM A REALITY”. It consists of both genders (male and female), age diversity (the young, middle age and old age). We the people of Dream Starter Foundation community ACKNOWLEDGE the supremacy of the Almighty God of all creation. PROUD of unity, culture, love and above all the fact that we live in peace as one indivisible sovereign community, committed to nurturing and protecting the well-being of the individual children, their families, and their communities for the sake of prosperity and community. Currently the organization has two officials (members) but, the number of members continuously increases. The organization will be in existence for long due to the prevailing constitution and the hard work of all members and its officials. Recently the organization passed a resolution to start many social empowerment activities where EDUCATION was chosen as the major activity that the organization will be concentrating on before the financial year ends.
