UIPE ENGAGES KYAMBOGO UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

Earlier today, Eng. Peterson Mwesiga, President of UIPE, hosted students pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Kyambogo University.

The engaging session provided an opportunity for students to learn more about UIPE, its relationship with the ERB, and the importance of mentorship in shaping the next generation of engineers.

The students also explored the benefits of UIPE membership, how to translate engineering theory into practical solutions, the profession’s readiness for emerging technologies, and the vital role of ethics, professionalism and integrity in engineering.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, allowing students to engage directly with the UIPE President, ask questions and gain valuable insights into their future careers.

The Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE) invites applications for the position of Executive Secretary (ES).

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership to the UIPE Secretariat and oversee key areas including Finance, Projects, Membership and Public Relations.

Key requirements:
Master’s degree in a relevant field
At least 10 years’ relevant experience, including 5 years in senior management
Strong leadership, communication, strategic planning and governance skills.
