As part of the process for helping children who are not in school, Nsumbi Trust, together with Family Believers Church, have set up an informal school in this deprived area. It’s called the Catch-Up School. Children, who for a variety of reasons are not in school, can come to do some learning. Teachers keep them topped up with the basics and a helper gives them some much needed food. A team led by a social worker and Pastor Patrick visit the homes of these children to give help and advice about their education. After careful investigation and discussion with carers, some children are given places at our school - Stephen Jota Children's Centre in Nansana about 5 miles away.
