A Journey of Hope — Our First Step to the Future

This week marks a very special moment at Amatsiko Preparatory School.

Our Primary 7 class of 2025 has completed their Primary Leaving Examinations ( )a huge milestone in their journey of education and hope.

We had 32 wonderful children sitting for their final exams and for many of them, this has been a 10-year journey with us.

We have watched them grow from their very first day in nursery, shy and full of curiosity, to confident young boys and girls ready to take on the world.

At Amatsiko, Amatsiko means , and that is exactly what these children represent.

Hope that education can break the cycle of poverty.

Hope that every child, no matter their background, can dream and achieve.

Hope that our community’s future is bright because these young minds are prepared to lead it.

To our P7 students:
You have made us proud. You are living proof that with love, guidance, and opportunity, every child can rise.

To our supporters and friends:
Thank you for walking this journey with us. Your kindness continues to open doors of hope and learning for so many children.

Never Lose Hope

Hope is a seed—small, unseen, yet powerful.
It sleeps beneath the soil, waiting for a kind hand,
A drop of belief, a ray of compassion
And then, it grows. 🌱

At Amatsiko, we water that hope.
In every child who learns,
In every traveler who listens,
In every story shared between worlds.

For hope is not just felt, it is taught,
Nurtured through education,

A Lesson in True Generosity

In Luke 14:12–14, Jesus teaches a powerful principle about giving. He reminds us that true generosity isn’t about expecting something in return — it’s about reaching out to those who can’t repay us.

When we share our blessings with the poor, the disabled, or the marginalized, we create kindness that goes beyond personal gain. The real reward doesn’t come from human applause or return favors, but from the lasting impact our compassion makes — and the promise of greater blessings in the future.

It’s a reminder to give selflessly, love sincerely, and serve with a pure heart.

Inspiring Young Conservationists at Amatsiko Preparatory School

Dr. Jane Goodall has inspired millions around the world to care for people, animals, and the environment. At Amatsiko Preparatory School, we’re proud to carry her vision forward through the Roots & Shoots Program — empowering our pupils to become young leaders for change.

Through this program, children learn about environmental care, tree planting, wildlife protection, and community service. Every small action — from keeping our school clean to planting trees around Lake Bunyonyi — is a step toward a brighter, more sustainable future.

We’re grateful to follow in the footsteps of Dr. Goodall, proving that hope starts with education and grows through action.
