Greetings from Haddassah empowered Girls!

With your support, we are making these girls know they are not failures. Not just mere s*x objects . Not equivalent to dowry.

Just because they could not continue with formal education doesn't mean they are hopeless failures whose only hope is to be forced into abusive relationships, to bring forth babies who will find parents without help and hope, thus ending up the same way like their parents.

with your support, these girls are learning a vocation that will enable them not only support themselves out of the vicious cycle of hopelessness and helplessness but also prepare a future for their families and their future families .

Thank you to all who have supported the Haddassah Girls Empowerment project to ensure that we raise a generation of empowered women.

As we continue believing God for a Haddassah Girls Empowerment Center,a home we shall call our own, allow me bring you one of the success stories from a girl from our very first graduation

This beautiful girl Nakande is deaf and dumb. like most of you know, in Uganda, there's little hope in such children. little or no chances for education, apart from those from real rich families.

when Nakakande was enrolled at Haddassah for a tailoring course, we were scared. we didn't know how we could train some one qho cant hear of talk, yet we are not trained in sign languages. however, she really saw this a her chance to acquire a skill and rejecting her would so much crash her. so we decided to include her in the program.

To our amazement, she excelled not only in tailoring and fashion designing but also in Hair dressing. During her graduation, she was recognised as the best student of the year.

As a start up capital of a sewing machine that is always given to our girls on graduation, Nakakande gladly received the gift and put it in front of her parent's house and started designing clothes for people in the neighborhood.

when I went to check on her, her parent gave me a testimony on how she is now the bread winner of the family through her business.

we thank God for the many lives many of you have touched through your support.

That's why we must find a permanent home of our own so that this legacy of supporting so many girls lasts.

For the past 5 years every Year, Haddassah girls in Kampala have been receiving Christmas. However, the Haddassah girls in Bugongi only had one last year, and would have cried if they didn't have one this year. They were so much looking forward to having it. We Thank God who enabled it. Pus each one of them got a pair of shoes. Forever grateful to God for Using one amazing human to put joy on the faces of these girls
