This is memorable! A day Full of Joy, smiles, laughter and love. To most of these girls, a sewing machine is all they have ever owned. And they get it not out of torture, abuse, fear, manipulation but Love. Thanks all who made the graduation of these girls colourful

A sewing machine is the only property some of these girls will ever own. That's why they endure walking long distances for more than a year not only to aquire a vocational skill but also a sewing machine to enable them start a small business that will sustain them and their families.

Please support these girls to get each a sewing machine during the forth coming graduation ceremony

Its now 9 years since Haddassah Girls empowerment project was officially launched. We started in some one's compound, with only three sewing machines serving about 30 girls. Today, we not only have enough much but God has enabled us give each girl that goes through this project a sewing machine. Can never forget Jim Hetzel, and his wife Darlene plus Kevin Mulin who gave us the first sewing machines. Thanks to John and Pauline Kamanzi who were not only the connection to Jim but also a strong moral support throughout the Journey. Along the way, God has used many other people to bless so many girls here. Leslie Mcgill and the whole of Marissa House project board, Misty autumns and the whole of In the garden mission teams, all the volunteers at Haddassah, we cannever thank you enough.

Together, lets raise a generation of economically, mentally, spiritually and morally empowered women

For all who know about the story of Haddassah in the Bible, you know that there would be no Haddassah if there was no Mordecai to mentor and care for her.

But likewise, at one point, Mordecai would as well be no more if it wasn't the intervention of Haddassah.

As Haddassah Girls empowerment project, we are not some feminist group which thinks we can live without men. We believe we can live peacefully with men, all excelling in our lives, without competing with each other but rather complementing one another.

All who have visited us know that we have always talked about The Mordecai Project, a project that will aim at equally empowering a boy child as we aim at having gender equity.

Like a friend of mine always tells me, if I keep empowering a girl child and leaving behind a boy child, this girl child will one day get married to an "un"empowered boy who will fight to disempower her.

For this reason, together with men and women who want a balanced society, we have decided to launch the Mordecai Project where we give mentor ship, psycho social support, counselling and guidance, rehabilitation and Vocational skill to a boy child.

We meet these boys every Thursday for rehabilitation lessons, counselling and guidance, and Biblical encouragement. Soon, we will include the Vocational skilling Program.

However, to continue what we have started, We urgently need 1500 usd for T-Shirts (some come in their street clothes and will soon feel out of place)
Renting Venue where we meet from, and providing a meal every time we meet.
