At Kids Lacrosse Africa, we believe childhood should be a time to explore, play, make mistakes, discover passions, and simply be children.

We want our kids to fall in love with the game before they feel the pressure to win it. To enjoy every moment, build friendships, grow in confidence, and develop a passion for lacrosse that goes beyond the scoreboard.

Because at KLA, it’s not just about creating better athletes. It’s about giving children the freedom to be themselves, enjoy the game, and grow at their own pace.

🌟 Shining a light on Ssebaagala.

Ssebaagala is the boys’ captain at Wolpa Primary School, but his journey with Kids Lacrosse Africa is about much more than lacrosse.

We started our journey with him in 2019. Then came the lockdown, a difficult season for many of the families we serve. Schools closed, livelihoods were disrupted, and food became a daily struggle.

We didn’t stop walking with our families. We delivered food and essential supplies, checked in on children, and continued supporting them through that difficult season.

Since then, Ssebaagala has been part of our scholarship program. Today, he is a student, a leader, a teammate, and a captain.

His story is a picture of what we mean by a holistic approach at KLA.

It’s not just about handing a child a lacrosse stick.

It’s about education.
It’s about meals.
It’s about family.
It’s about mentorship.
It’s about leadership.
It’s about showing up when life gets difficult.
And most importantly, it’s about walking with a child for the long journey.

Sport is the doorway, but the goal is much bigger.

We want to see children educated, families strengthened, young leaders developed, and communities transformed.

Ssebaagala is one of those testimonies of what that journey can look like. ❤️
