We are located in Buwenge Town Council, Jinja District -Uganda. To acquire our own land and construct permanent shelter/orphanage for the total orphans. O.

Our mission is to demonstrate God’s love and restore hope by improving the well-being of orphans and vulnerable children through education, food and nutrition, basic necessities, spiritual support, protection, and sustainable community development. Light of Hope Orphans Care Organization(LHOCO)- Uganda is a registered community based and non profit organization that was founded in 2013 by Mugulusi Geoffrey together with other members with the aim to provide help and support for Orphans, Poor and Vulnerable Children in Uganda, who come from families that are affected by HIV/AIDS pandemic, malaria and extreme poverty. These Children live in severe suffering and misery without access to basic needs of life, this is because the parents who would provide have died of HIV/AIDS or malaria, some children are coming from families that have been struck by absolute poverty and we also consider providing help and support to children who come from very poor families that cannot even afford to provide basic needs of life to the children. The organization is committed to restore hope for the orphans, poor and vulnerable Children by providing them with help for food, clothes, shelter, medical care, clean water, education, school supplies, spiritual support, counselling and guidance. Our mission is to improve the welfare and well-being standards, show love and restore hope for orphans, poor and vulnerable children through provision of their basic needs of life. Our vision is to achieve self reliance and sustainable development for orphans, poor and vulnerable children. Our objectives include: Providing food and clothes for the orphans, poor and vulnerable children. Providing education through sponsorship and provide school supplies such as books, pens and pencils for orphans, poor and vulnerable children. Providing medical care, clean water and psychosocial support for orphans, poor and vulnerable children. To show love, care, give spiritual support, counselling and guidance for orphans, poor and vulnerable children. Promote talents, vocational and life skills development for orphans, poor and vulnerable children through capacity building. Today our hearts overflow with gratitude and praise to God for His amazing provision. Through the generous support of our dear sister, our precious children have received food that will nourish them.

Seeing the smiles on their faces and the joy in their hearts is a beautiful reminder that God never abandons His children. He uses compassionate people to become answers to prayer, and our dear sister has been one of those blessings.

At a very young age, Shafic has been forced to take on responsibilities no child should have to bear. Every day, he visits garbage dumps to collect plastic and scrap metal that he can sell, all in an effort to provide food for himself and his siblings. This is the heartbreaking reality they face.

There are children among us who go to sleep not knowing if they will have a meal tomorrow, children who have lost the warmth of a parent’s love and are left to face the world far too soon.
Today, we are reaching out with a humble heart. Orphans in our community are struggling not just emotionally, but physically, many lack basic meals and proper nutrition. No child should have to endure hunger on top of such loss.
You and we may not be able to change their past, but together, we can change their present. A simple act donating to buy food, or contributing whatever you can — can bring hope, comfort, and a reason for them to smile again.

Christmas is around the corner, our ministry would wish to provide special food like rice, spaghett, and bananas for the orphans, vulnerable children and their families, this kind of food mentioned is only for the rich who can afford to buy it here and are previledged to feed on it. Orphans, vulnerable children and their families can only have chance to eat this kind of food on Christmas day if some one comes in to share or support them.

For many of the children we support, Christmas is just another day without enough to eat. Through this appeal, we are working to change that by providing Christmas food parcels for some of the most vulvnerable children and families or if possible for all

If you would like to give, every gift no matter the size will help put special food on the table and brings hope to children and families who need it most on this Christmas. We understand if you are unable to give, sharing this appeal with a friend or family member will also help us enormously!
