Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
*BACKGROUND OF THE MINISTRY*
Due to the high and rising number of orphans in Uganda, we were burdened to help the hopeless. In 2014, we founded *FRIENDS OF JESUS MINISTRY UGANDA* with a vision to care for orphans and street children.
We started small — with 10 orphans from different villages in Jinja, Uganda. At first, we collected clothes from well-wishers and gave them to the children. Later, we began caring for them fully, and today by God’s grace, those first 10 children are now studying in different schools.
Currently, our number has grown from 10 to *86 orphans and street children* from Jinja and the surrounding communities. The organization is based in Eastern Uganda.
*OUR GOAL*
Our goal is to restore hope to orphans who feel hopeless, and to bring back their joy so they can feel loved like other children with biological parents.
*OUR JOURNEY*
Back in 2014, we started by caring for 10 children who had lost both parents. We used to rent a house where the children were taken care of.
But we thank God — today we now own a piece of land where we are living and serving the children. On this land, we provide basic needs: education, food, medical care, and accommodation.
*THE CURRENT NEED*
The number of children has continued to grow. We now have 86 children at our home. But due to limited funds, we face a big challenge paying school tuition fees every term.
Because we already have our own land, we have a vision: *to build our own school — starting with 5 classrooms.*
We believe that when we build our own school, we will no longer struggle with high tuition fees. The money God provides can then be used for other expenses like food, bills, and teachers’ salaries.
*OUR REQUEST*
So dear Brother, we are humbly requesting your help with financial support toward this school building project. Your support will help us educate 86 children and many more in the future, right here on our own land, at a much lower cost.
We believe this project will bring long-term sustainability to the ministry and give these children a permanent place to learn and grow.
We will provide full accountability with photos, receipts, and progress reports.
