GI ASCO’s mission is to provide a safe, loving and nurturing home environment where the boys can develop physically, socially, educationally and emotionally. The boys living at the GI ASCO house are aged between 7 and 17 years old. The boys have experienced being homeless and having to live on the street, surviving without any support or guidance from adults. Most have been orphaned, adandoned or
have absconded due to family breakdown, reconstitution or abuse. The boys survived by begging and were malnourished and had poor general health. The boys now have a safe and nurturing environment where they can be reinteregated into a loving home, offered educational opportunities and receive support and counselling in regards to their personal experiences. GI ASCO provides them with this essential opportunity. GI ASCO receives no funding from the Government and all funding is received from independent travellers, donors and sponsors.
