* a drop-in centre for street youth

* support to child headed households (houses made up of children forced into either living alone or into a parenting role through their situational circumstances)

* tailor made vocational training programmes, including craft-making, tailoring, hai

rdressing, and the hotel industry

* income generating activities for single mothers

* a crèche (early child learning center) for marginalised children near Lake Victoria

* community awareness workshops and child protection committees

* support and help for grandmothers who have been charged with the care of their grandchildren, whether due to HIV/AIDS or other reasons for losing the parents, to have small businesses and generate a sustainable income

for general overall economic development to empower these displaced slum and shanty communities, particularly through children and youth.
