Bubugo Banana Kayak School

Bubugo Banana Kayak School Bubugo Banana Kayak school is charity kayak school in Bubugo village, Uganda Estern Africa.

Our goal is to give kids opportunity to learn how to kayak and to be safe on the river! At the source of the White Nile in Uganda there is a tiny village called Bubugo where kids have unlimited access to world class rapids. Most local kids are brave enough to play around in the waters once swarmed by crocodiles. Despite their talent they cannot leave the riverbank and explore what the area has to

offer because of poor equipment. They kayak on banana trunks improvising with a wooden stick and plastic bottles as paddle. These kids live in absolute poverty with the wage of their parents not reaching 1$ per day. The circumstances make it impossible for families to afford safe equipment for their children who can only carry tourists' gear from the shuttle to the river for a few penny. Their dream is to kayak on the rapids with proper kayaking equipment. Be part of their dreams and help us crowd fund money for equipment and training! Our goal is to give these kids the opportunity to learn how to kayak and be safe on the river with the proper kayaking equipment.
