We have a small group headed to Uganda in May. We are short on luggage space, but here are some needed items you can donate from amazon.

*multiples of waterproof backpacks and watches

This is what it looks like when a parent has their deepest prayer finally answered.
I’ve learned that more than food, clothing, or any material thing, these parents/grandparents pray that their children can go to school. In this kind of poverty they know that an education is the only way out. Most times the whole family’s hope is in the child one day getting an education and coming back to help them also.

Despite the absence of many of our FFH children who are away at boarding school, our Saturday Discipleship program continues to thrive with local children. On Discipleship day, the children begin arriving early and spend time playing outside. Bible classes officially start at noon, and lunch is served afterwards. This meal is a highlight of the week for many of these children, who may only eat one meal a day or face uncertainty about their next meal. Unfortunately, due to limited funding, we are compelled to restrict the number of children we can admit by closing the gate at a specific time. We lack the necessary resources to provide sufficient food for a larger group. All that’s needed to address this challenge, are a few more people who are willing to sponsor discipleship monthly!

The children are back in school after an unusually long break due to the election!! Friends for Hope provides all required school supplies for each child, giving them the tools they need to succeed. The team spends days shopping for the best price for each item, showcasing their dedication. They rent a large truck to transport the supplies to FFH property and then all the children come and collect their supplies by grade level. It’s really quite an amazing process.
