Breakfast with Joy: Nourishing Young Minds in Uganda

PREACH Uganda and the Education Cannot Wait program, kindergarten learners are starting their school day with warm meals, smiles, and a sense of belonging.

This morning, children in their red and green uniforms gathered outside their classroom to share breakfast together. With colorful cups and plates in hand, they enjoy a simple, nutritious meal that fuels both their bodies and their curiosity. The scene is one of laughter, conversation, and the quiet focus of kids refueling for a day of learning and play.

Why this meal matters:
1. Nutrition for growth: A balanced breakfast gives these young learners the energy to stay active, concentrate in class, and build strong foundations for healthy development.
2. Readiness to learn: When hunger is addressed, children can engage fully with lessons, interact with peers, and develop the early literacy and numeracy skills that set them up for primary school.
3. Dignity: Sitting together to eat builds social skills, routine, and a sense of care. It shows each child that their education and wellbeing matter.

Dear Family, Greetings.
Today, we will talk about the God who speaks to us, not once, but twice or more, even while we are still facing challenging times. The Bible says in Jeremiah 33:1-3 "While Jeremiah was still locked up in jail , a secon Message from GOD was given to him: "This is GOD's Message, the God who made earth, made it livable and lasting, known everywhere as [GOD]: 'Call to me and I will answer you. I'll tell you marvellous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own." Sometimes, we focus our attention so much on our current situations that we fail/ refuse to hear the voice of God, yet He alone has the answer we need. In His mercy, He may speak more than once, as He did for Jeremiah, hoping that we will listen and take action. **Question* : Amidst everything happening in and around us today, have we taken time to listen to what God is saying? If yes, what is our response, given where He has placed us and the resources (opportunities, people, time, material things, money, etc) He has entrusted us with? Thank you for responding.

‎In a world obsessed with titles and honorifics, I find myself asking a simple question. Do you have people in your circle who do not care about being called "Honorable, Professor, Doctor, Boss, etc.,” but actually are honorable?
‎
‎Think about those rare souls who stand for what is right even when it is unpopular. They show up for you before you even ask. They boldly defend your name in rooms you have never entered, not because it is easy, but because they know your truth. If you have such people, count your blessings and thank God. They are your living heroes.
‎
‎When I look at life, my heart overflows with gratitude. Being a gentleman is exactly that, selfless, principled, and unshakably real. They put your community first and stand with what is right against all odds.
‎
‎Be not just a friend. Be the kind of person everyone deserves. I thank God for every single day. May God bless me abundantly with health, long life, and everything my heart desires.
‎
‎And to you reading this, I pray God places living heroes in your life too. I pray you find people who will defend your name simply because they believe in your truth. That is a gift beyond measure.

PSYCHOEDUCATION: INNER HEALING AND MENTAL WELL-BEING

Many people look at life and feel that all the problems are outside them:

- Difficult relationships

- Stressful environments

- Conflict in society

- Constant disappointment and emotional pain

And so, much energy is spent trying *to fight, escape, or control the outside world* while the inner struggles remain unattended.

One important truth in mental health is this:

Our inner emotional state greatly influences how we experience the world around us.

*When a person is carrying:*

- Unhealed trauma

- Anxiety

- Fear

- Anger

- Shame

Emotional conflict
the world can begin to feel overwhelming, hostile, and chaotic.

But when healing, self-awareness, emotional regulation, and inner stability begin to grow, people often *start experiencing life differently:*

- Relationships improve

- Decisions become healthier

- Peace increases

- Perspective changes

- Hope returns

This does not mean life suddenly becomes perfect.

Rather, it means the mind becomes better equipped to respond to challenges in a healthier way.

*Many individuals struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety, or emotional distress are often fighting silent internal battles:*

- Between who they are and who they want to become

- Between pain and healing

- Between hopelessness and recovery

Healing begins when people stop only asking: “What is wrong with the world around me?”
And also begin asking:

“What within me needs healing, support, understanding, or restoration?”

WHEN GOD ENDS A SEASON, DON’T FORCE A CONNECTION
Some People Were Sent for a Chapter, Not for Your Entire Journey

Ecclesiastes 3:1
“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”

Isaiah 43:18–19
“Remember ye not the former things… Behold, I will do a new thing.”

Amos 3:3
“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”

There are people who enter your life as a blessing, a lesson, a helper, a divine assignment, or a temporary companion for a specific season. Some come to build you. Some come to reveal you. Some come to challenge you. Some come to prepare you for where God is taking you.
But one of the hardest truths in life is this: Not everyone assigned to your yesterday is qualified for your tomorrow.
Many people destroy their peace because they keep fighting to hold onto relationships, friendships, partnerships, and connections that heaven has already released.
When God closes a season, emotional attachment can become spiritual disobedience.

1. Some People Are Seasonal, Not Permanent
Not every relationship was designed to last forever. Some people were only meant to accompany you through a particular chapter of your life.

2. God Removes People Before They Become a Distraction
Sometimes the separation is not punishment. It is protection. God can see what you cannot see.

3. Forced Connections Produce Emotional Exhaustion
When you keep chasing people who are withdrawing from your life, you lose your dignity, peace, and spiritual clarity.

4. Every Departure Is Not Demonic
Some exits are orchestrated by God Himself because your next level requires a different environment.

5. Holding Onto Expired Relationships Delays New Blessings
As long as your hands are tightly holding the old, you may not be able to receive the new.

6. God Sometimes Separates Before He Elevates
Abraham had to separate from Lot before certain dimensions of God’s promises manifested.

7. Not Everyone Can Go Where God Is Taking You
Some people love you but cannot handle your growth, transformation, or calling.

8. Emotional Attachment Can Blind Spiritual Discernment
Many people confuse familiarity with destiny connection.

9. Some People Were Lessons, Not Lifelong Assignments
Painful relationships often teach wisdom, discernment, boundaries, and spiritual maturity.

10. Chasing People Can Make You Lose Yourself
You begin abandoning your values, dreams, focus, and peace trying to keep someone who already left emotionally.

11. God Will Never Remove Without Purpose
If God allows a separation, there is always a deeper reason connected to your future.

12. Some Departures Expose Hidden Idolatry
Sometimes God allows people to leave so you can discover how dependent you became on human validation instead of Him.

13. Your Peace Is More Valuable Than Forced Loyalty
Never sacrifice your mental, emotional, and spiritual stability just to maintain a connection heaven has ended.

14. Every Relationship Has an Assignment
Once the assignment is completed, the season may naturally come to an end.

15. Fighting Divine Separation Creates Inner Confusion
When God is moving you forward and you keep looking backward, your spirit becomes divided.
16. Some People Leave Because Your Season Changed
Growth changes environments, priorities, thinking, and associations.

17. God Sometimes Uses Separation to Heal You
Distance can restore focus, identity, clarity, and spiritual strength.

18. Closed Doors Are Sometimes Divine Redirection
What feels like rejection may actually be God repositioning your life toward purpose.

19. Stop Begging for What God Is Removing
You should never have to force what God truly ordained for you.

20. Trust God Enough to Release What Is Leaving
If God allowed them to walk away, trust Him enough to believe He is still writing your story.

Sometimes people leave quietly. Sometimes painfully. Sometimes suddenly.
But do not lose yourself trying to resurrect relationships that heaven has already buried.
A closed chapter is not the end of your destiny.
God is not only the God of connections. He is also the God of divine separation.
Some separations protect your anointing. Some protect your future. Some protect your peace. And some protect the person you are becoming.
Do not force yourself into places where your spirit no longer has rest.
The same God who allowed certain people to leave is the same God who knows who truly belongs in your future.

PROPHETIC DECREE AND DECLARATION

I decree and declare: May God give you the strength to release every expired connection peacefully. May every emotional chain tying you to unhealthy relationships be broken. May your spiritual discernment increase. May God disconnect you from every relationship assigned to delay your destiny. May your peace, focus, joy, healing, and purpose be restored. May every divine helper assigned to your next season locate you without struggle. And may you never again force yourself where God has already spoken “move forward.” In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

From His fullness we have all received grace upon grace. John 1:16

The most precious insights ever given to human minds are those that come from the Great Father. Out of His fullness, we receive grace upon grace and love upon love. In short, by faith, we behold the glory of the Lord as in a mirror and are transformed into that same image —and the image of God is love.

This is where the journey of love begins. This is the small stream that later swells into a river, the spark that ignites a life of devotion. The freed soul loves the Savior for the freedom He has given. It contemplates the agony with which that priceless gift was bought and adores the suffering Savior for the pains He endured so generously. Looking back on our lives, we see that God’s kindness has run through it all like a silver thread.
