**AFRICAN CRY FOUNDATION WOMEN'S SAVINGS GROUP MEETING – JUNE 2026**

Today, members of the African Cry Foundation Women's Savings Group gathered in small discussion groups to share ideas, review business progress, and evaluate the performance of loans issued during the first half of 2026.

The meeting provided an opportunity for members to discuss marketing strategies, business challenges, and opportunities for growth. We are encouraged to see that savings among members continue to increase, demonstrating commitment, discipline, and the positive impact of the group's empowerment initiatives.

As part of our ongoing monitoring and support, the Foundation will soon begin visiting individual member businesses to assess their progress, identify areas for improvement, and celebrate successes. These visits will help strengthen accountability while promoting learning and collaboration among members.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all members, partners, supporters, and well-wishers who continue to contribute to this cause. Your support is making a meaningful difference in the lives of women, families, and communities.

Together, we are building stronger businesses, increasing household incomes, and creating sustainable opportunities for economic empowerment.

🌱 FIELD VISIT REPORT – KAGOMA BUWOLOMERA, JINJA DISTRICT
πŸ“… 23rd May 2026

Today, by God’s grace, I successfully carried out a field visit to Kagoma Buwolomera village to follow up on the ongoing African Cry Foundation projects for girls empowerment and skills development.

The main purpose of the visit was to:
βœ… Confirm the number of girls participating in the projects
βœ… Follow up on project progress
βœ… Collect tailoring machines for repair and organization

I am grateful to confirm that we currently have 13 girls actively participating in the different projects:

🧼 Liquid Soap Project – 5 girls
🧼 Bar Soap Project – 5 girls
πŸͺ£ Jerry Project – 2 girls
🧡 Tailoring Project – ongoing organization and machine collection

The Liquid Soap group reported encouraging progress with a current capital of UGX 180,000 and profits earned from sales within the past months. I encouraged them to continue working hard and target selling one 20-litre jerrycan every month for greater growth.

The Bar Soap group also reported positive progress with their soap production and sales, generating profits that continue to build their project capital.

During the visit, I also collected 3 sewing machines for repair and maintenance, while 2 others are still being organized for collection.

πŸ“š In addition, learning materials were distributed:
β€’ Nakalubi Venitah – 5 books and 4 pens
β€’ Namaganda Jane – 5 books and 4 pens

The rest of the girls had already received their scholastic materials earlier.

Although heavy rain delayed my movement before reaching the field, I thank God that all planned activities were completed successfully.

Together, we continue empowering girls through skills, teamwork, and entrepreneurship for a better future. ❀️

AFRICAN CRY FOUNDATION – FIELD UPDATE

On 17th May 2026, our team (Sandra and Noah) conducted a field visit to Kagoma, where we had the privilege of meeting 15 amazing girls actively participating in our foundation projects.

The purpose of the visit was to monitor progress, strengthen participation, and provide guidance and support to the girls.

πŸ“Œ Participation & Accountability
Following last week’s field visit, Sandra requested feedback on active and inactive members within the projects.
We appreciate Rebecca for already preparing a list of active participants.

⚠️ A serious warning was issued to inactive members:
Any girl who misses three consecutive project meetings will be expelled from the respective project.
This is to ensure commitment, responsibility, and fairness among all members.

🧼 Project Updates
We reviewed progress and participation in:
Bar Soap Project
Liquid Soap Project
The girls were encouraged to remain consistent, cooperative, and dedicated to improving their skills.

πŸ‘©β€πŸ’Ό Leadership & Weekly Reporting
Sandra emphasized the importance of leadership and accountability:
πŸ‘‰ All team leaders must provide weekly feedback
πŸ‘‰ Reports should be submitted every Saturday or Sunday without fail
This will help track progress and identify challenges early.

πŸ“… Planning & Communication
To improve coordination:
A field visit timetable has been pinned at the Resource Centre
βœ… This ensures:
Proper preparation
No excuses for missing sessions
🏑 Welfare & Discipline Guidance
Noah addressed an important concern:
Some girls reach home late after project activities, causing parents to worry. In some cases, this has led to parents stopping them from attending.

⏰ Resolution:
All girls must be home by 6:30 PM latest
He also advised the girls, as they prepare to return to school, to:
Stay focused on their education
Maintain discipline
Be mindful and avoid distractions

πŸŽ’ Back-to-School Support
To support their education, we distributed scholastic materials to all the girls.
Each girl received:
πŸ“š 5 exercise books
πŸ–ŠοΈ 4 pens
✏️ 1 pencil
This initiative is aimed at empowering them to stay in school and succeed academically.

🧡 Tailoring Project Update
All tailoring machines will be collected and taken to the Resource Centre for:
Repair and maintenance
Centralized and effective usage

πŸ™ Closing
The session was concluded with a closing prayer led by Jane.

❀️ Conclusion
The visit was productive and impactful, focusing on:
Strengthening accountability
Improving project participation
Supporting both education and personal development
At African Cry Foundation, we remain committed to empowering young girls to build better futures through skills, education, and mentorship.

✨ Together, we are changing lives, one girl at a time.

FIELD REPORT – AFRICAN CRY FOUNDATION
πŸ—“ 10th May 2026 | πŸ“Œ Kagoma | ⏰ 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Sandra and Isaac had a productive and inspiring evening with our girls at Kagoma as we continue to empower and grow together.

The session began with an opening prayer led by Rebecca, one of the girls in the project, setting a positive and focused tone for the meeting.

We then reviewed progress on our liquid soap project since we made last week. We are excited to share that the girls have already made sales worth UGX 5,000, a great step towards financial independence πŸ‘

Isaac appreciated the girls for their commitment and the progress made so far. He encouraged them by reflecting on how far their individual projects have come since the girls’ camp, where each participant selected a personal project to pursue. It is encouraging to see that many have already taken action.
He also tasked team leaders to compile and submit lists of their members for better coordination. Additionally, he introduced the idea of making Jik as a potential project, though the girls shared their concerns about its suitability within their community.

Sandra also thanked the girls for their dedication and consistency. She emphasized the upcoming stage of art and craft project, highlighting that materials will be available at the centre next week. She encouraged the girls to take initiative and make use of the resources even in the absence of supervisors. She further emphasized the vision of establishing a resource centre where all projects will be carried out in the future.
She also emphasized the importance of marketing their products wherever they are, as it contributes to the growth and benefit of everyone involved.

The session ended on a positive note with a closing, leaving everyone motivated and ready to do more.
Together, we are building skills, confidence, and a brighter future πŸ’›
