Our Story

BACKGROUND Nissi Rephidim Care merged out of a deep desire from the heart of Daniel Atwenda who encountered with God speaking to him, a situation where innocent street children were being beaten on the streets of Jinja for begging in 2005 and that’s how God spoke to his heart to be the change these young lives need and share God’s love, through giving and acceptance. In doing so under God’s assurance to be a comforter; he shared the vision with friends who supported the cause and NRC reached out to the children in the slums of Katanga community where compassion was done marked its beginning extending to where there is need while lately considering establishing a base for the ministry. All this has been possible because of the great humility with the ground team. Our legacy is to uphold the rights and beliefs of children to free them from stigma, fear, give hope, empower them with education and skills that every child can count on to independently support their wellbeing. Our Success is derived from God’s doings Isaiah 26:12 (GNB) [You will give us (Peace), Lord; Everything that we achieve is a result of what you do]. Prayerfully, with the support from each of you, NRC will continue to grow and expand under God’s direction.
