The solution is a short or long term rehabilitation of identified children in the home, that will be constructed and for use to treat children, where we offer highly nutritional diet designed for children with severe wasting. The home will also offer a social and financial assistance to the extended families or guardians of the concerned children and empower families. We currently employ 32 caring
individuals to work as teachers, carers, first aiders, gardeners, cooks and members of security, and the administrative costs of our organisation are covered by an individual donor. The organization exists to support higher standards of child raising for a positive impact on the management of people, processes and quantitatively impact on society. Whisper, which is run by both full time staff in Uganda and volunteers, was established in 2010 to bring hope and full-filling life to the orphaned and neglected children and work together with families on life improvements of whole target communities. In October 2011 we opened Whisper’s First Child Academy Of Hope for unprivileged children in Kagoma Gate Village one of the poorest village in Jinja District, delivering first ever education in that area to 105 children and regular adult evening classes. We run a child stabilization home where malnourished children from the District are brought in for stabilization before they are moved on to their parents and care givers. Activities
» We work with the local village chair people and pastors in the communities to identified any children being in life threatening danger.
» We treat the children at our rehabilitation home providing them with highly nutritional diet and further medical treatment
» We regularly perform community outreach work providing first aid to the sick children and improving their sleeping conditions.
» We established a toddler and nursery class within the rehabilitation home educating all children living at the home.
» We empower families by introducing ways they could do a small business to support themselves and the children.
» We train the children's guardians in farming, helping in creating gardens, planting demonstration and seeds donations.
» We organise bonding visits with their children offering them our financial support such are school fees, medical fees and moral support. Growing our own herbs, fruits and vegetable to secure a organic diet.
