Dear Friends and Family,

Here’s an update on baby Fred. Thank you so much to everyone who has been praying and giving so generously.

When we first took him to the Heart Institute, he had to be admitted for over a week due to chest infections. The team treated him until he was stable and then sent us home for a week of recovery.

We returned on Monday, June 16th, for a follow-up to determine if he was fit for surgery. Thankfully, the doctors have now scheduled his heart surgery for this coming Monday, June 23rd.

Please keep him in your prayers—that he remains infection-free and strong enough for the procedure. We’ve currently isolated him from the other children in our Phenix House (a special home for babies who have been severely abused, traumatized, or are critically ill), so he can receive the extra care and attention he needs during this time.

Pray with us that all goes smoothly on Monday and that baby Fred comes through the surgery safely.

Dear Friends and Family,

I am overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who gave towards Baby Fred’s surgery. Thank you to each of you who donated, prayed, and shared the post—because of your support, it reached so many people.

It’s nighttime here in Uganda, but I’ll be calling the doctor first thing in the morning. So far, God has provided $4,091.65. Please continue to pray for the remaining $908.35 to come through.
