For a long time, I thought being faithful meant always being strong. But faithfulness is more like breathing than lifting weights; steady, quiet, and sometimes barely there, yet it keeps you alive. It’s turning toward the light even when you feel numb. It’s placing yourself once more in the Redeemer’s hands, letting Him shape what’s rough or rigid. It’s letting the chisel rest in His hand. He carries the tool; I yield to the shaping. And the blows that sting? They are not to break me, but to free the beauty hidden inside the stone. The blows that sting are not there to crush you, but to carve away what keeps you from reflecting His goodness.

Father, your people around the world need your deliverance from persecution, hardship, hostility, martyrdom, and the discouraging and withering cynicism that goes with these trials. In your majesty and power, please destroy the plans of the wicked. In your mercy and grace, please deliver your people as they face hardships and troubles. In Jesus' name, we pray to you, the God who has promised to deliver us from all of our troubles. We believe you are the God of deliverance! Amen.
