Every child has the right to feel safe, respected and supported.
Yet right now, millions of street children are sleeping on cold pavements, invisible to the world, struggling just to survive. They deserve more than our pity, they deserve our action.

Today I’m raising my voice for every street child who has been forgotten. Let’s give them the care and respect they were born with the right to receive. Let’s sit with them, listen to their stories, and truly hear what’s in their hearts. Let’s shield them from the deadly traps of alcoholism and drugs that steal their childhood and their future because their health matters just as much as any other child’s.

These are not “street kids.” These are dreamers with big hearts and bright potential. They want to go to school, play, laugh, and one day become doctors, teachers, artists, and leaders.

Will you stand with us?
Share this post. Reach out to a local shelter. Donate what you can. Or simply smile at a street child and ask their name, sometimes that one moment of respect changes everything.

Together, let’s protect them, lift them up, and help them chase their dreams. Because every child deserves a chance to shine.

❤️ Tag someone who cares. Let’s make this go viral for the right reason.

Hey fam! 🌟 Just wanted to share some love!
As we had communicated earlier, here we come back to let you know that we had a hot meal with the children, a chapati and beans 😊. So, after a seriously intense football game, as it has always been, we shared the love with the children.

We talked about life, values, and how we all deserve respect, no matter where we're from or what language we speak.
It was a real eye opener for them, It hit home (no pun intended) how unnecessary the fights amongst them on the streets are, often sparked by differences in hometown where each one of them comes from or the difference in languages they speak and sometimes the space of where to sleep at night in the streets plus fighting for drugs and alcohol.

We reminded them they're all equal and need each other to thrive. It was a real moment, and a Huge shout out to everyone who made this happen! We're planning an Easter lunch if funds make it possible with the kids and would love for you to join us. You can support in any way suitable financially for $ 2.66 USD , spiritually and physically.

You've always been family, and this is our small way of helping these children as we look out for permanent solutions. Let's keep spreading the love! Huge thanks to everyone who's part of this journey with us, and we look forward to seeing you at the Easter lunch!

Hey friends! 🙏

Just wanted to share a quick update about our gathering with the kids on the streets of Mbale yesterday in partnership with bridging the gap. We had a blast teaching them about personal hygiene and life skills, and even managed to squeeze in a yummy lunch 🍴. Although the turnout was smaller than expected, every child who came left with a smile 😊.

We're looking forward to tomorrow and continuing this journey with them. But we can't do it without your support 🙏. If you're able, please consider standing with us to provide these kids with a warm meal. Every bit counts! 💕

Thank you and see you there

This month, Heart of the lioness is organising and will be on the road across Mbale City., sharing the heart with a warm meal with the children on the streets and the stories behind this mission!

To keep this work moving forward and if you feel it should be part of us, we need more people to join us; to inspire and save a child off the streets to go to school, and majorly reunite with their families.

If you’ve ever wondered how you can help, he’d love to meet you. Coffee, a small gathering, or a simple conversation in our inbox. Any amount of financial contribution is welcomed as we look to put a smile on these children's faces, reason we do this, a meal would serve batter in our funding capacity.

Thank you

Let’s keep rewriting the story together. 🤍

Last month, we stepped out onto the streets with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits, opening our support sessions for the year by engaging directly with the children we serve.
We sat with them, shared moments of real talk before enjoying a simple meal and snacks together.
We spoke openly about the changes we long to see, sharpening their thinking through these sessions, so they can rise above their current struggles and build brighter futures. We gently but firmly addressed the older boys please stop taking people's property without asking. It sets a painful example for the younger ones and breaks trust in the community.
We urged them to break free from the constant grip of drugs, especially sniffing airplane fuel, which slowly destroys their health, shortens their lives, and steals their potential.
Most importantly, we reminded them one day, many of them will want to build their own families. Now is the time to start changing, to grow into responsible young men. Listen, engage in meaningful activities, and let these moments truly transform their lives.
This year's message is clearly holding on to positive dreams. We will focus more on those children who are genuinely ready and eager to transform. We cannot keep sharing meals only, real change must come with commitment.
Many listened, nodded, welcomed the advice, and promised to try. Some even shared their deep desire to return to school. But we are limited, funds are tight, and dreams are big.
There is still so much engagement and support needed. If these stories touch you, kindly join us. Help us provide meals during sessions and support their dreams of education and a better life.
Thank you in advance from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness can light up their path.

As the year draws to a close, my heart aches for the countless children wandering on the streets innocent souls whose lives are slipping away in the shadows of neglect, poverty, domestic violence, orphaned by the loss of parents, abandoned by deadbeat fathers, torn apart by infidelity and endless family conflicts. But what shatters me most is the heartbreaking reality that so little is being done to pull them from this abyss.

This Christmas season, I witnessed it firsthand, groups of these young ones, barely scraping by with odd jobs for small business owners, pooling their meager earnings to buy fleeting moments of escape through s*x with prostitutes , one thing very disturbing where by some are not of age. Under the haze of alcohol and drugs sniffing plane fuel from rags clutched tightly in their small hands, hidden in pockets as they drift through the streets, they chase numbness from a world that has failed them. These are children, far too young for such horrors, their futures stolen before they've even begun.

It's very sad and unbearable. By the look of things, many in the past have ended up contracting HIV/AIDS, only to face cruel stigma, isolation, and abandonment, left to wither away in silence. As 2025 fades, I beg you, can you spare a moment of your knowledge, a prayer from your heart, your precious time, essential materials, or financial support, whatever you can give, Join us in this fight to save them, to end this cycle of despair. We need your voice echoing across the world, your compassion turning the tide. Together, we can be their light. Please, reach out today, donors, sponsors, well-wishers from every corner of the globe, these children are counting on you. Let's make 2026 the year hope rises from the streets. 💔??

Another awesome evening, I was walking through downtown, head down, rushing home like always, when I heard faint voices behind me: “Coach! Coach!”
I honestly didn’t register at first. Then I felt someone tugging my sleeve. I turned around and there they were Washaki and the crew running after me, barefoot, grinning like it was the best day ever.
One of them, the little guy in the soaked black jumper, was dripping wet. I asked, “Man, why are you wearing that? You’ll get sick.
He just shrugged and smiled: “It’ll dry on my body, Coach. If I take it off, someone will take it… and I don’t have anywhere safe to sleep tonight.
My heart cracked right there.
More boys came over hungry, as usual. They asked if I could help them eat something, just for the evening. I told them straight: “I’m not giving money you know it’ll go to glue or alcohol.” They just nodded… they know I say it because I care.
Instead I said, “Pick a place, I’m buying food.”
They dragged me excitedly to the lorry park, shouting orders to the mama cooking: “Rice and beans! No posho today!” Plate after plate came big, steaming, full. You should have seen their faces. Pure joy. They kept saying “Asante sana, Coach” between mouthfuls, sauce all over their smiles.
People around were staring, some smiling, some confused but the boys didn’t care. They asked me to take photos (“Coach, for memories!”) and posed like superstars.
Then one looked up, eyes shining, and asked quietly:
“Coach… will we have a Christmas party this year?”
I couldn’t speak for a second.
These kids have nothing. No proper home, no family dinner waiting, sometimes no meal at all… and they’re asking if Christmas can still happen for them.
I told them: “We’re going to make it happen.”
So friends, this is me requesting, begging from the bottom of my heart:
Let’s give these kids a real Christmas. Just one proper party on our football pitch. A plate of good food, a soda, music, games… maybe a small gift. That’s all. But it will mean the WORLD.

Hello friends and family, we continue to bring you the message of hope and deliverance towards our street project, this Sunday, we did it again. And our hearts are still full.

For the second time, we spent the day in Mbale town, sharing a hot, beautiful meal their favorite rice and meat with the children living on the streets. One little boy who doesn’t eat meat enjoyed fresh beans and rice, and the joy on his face was unforgettable.
They ate with pride, smiled with dignity, and even carried some food home for dinner. For many of them, this was the best meal they had tasted in days. These children look forward to our visits, and we are humbled to be part of their lives. Your support makes this possible, especially for children who are so often forgotten by society, yet still holding dreams larger than the sky above them.
For hours, we played soccer, laughed, and talked openly about their struggles. The boys opened up about the lice in their hair, poor hygiene, lack of clean clothes, and the dangers of drug sniffing. They even joked about the lice calling them “soldiers on a mission” humor that hides the deep pain they endure every single day. We listened to their hopes, and in those moments, you could feel something sacred moving through them… a soft stirring of healing.

As usual, we spoke about family reunification, education, self-belief, and the future. And one young boy brave, hopeful, determined told us he is ready to go home to Bududa. He wants to return to school next year.He wants to quit drugs. He wants a new beginning and rest.

With our guidance, consistent follow-up, and careful observation, we believe many of them can join hands-on skilling workshops.

They shared their plans and dreams, and their fears fear of peer pressure, drug temptation, and returning to homes where food is scarce. Others simply said they want a safe place to sleep, wash and be human.

you can be part of their transformation, a hair cut, hot meal, clothing, transport for family reu
