What happens when teachers are given the space to learn the way their students deserve to learn?

They collaborate. They challenge each other. They grow.

Our teacher professional development programs are built on a simple belief: teachers are not vessels to be filled with information — they are professionals to be empowered.

We don't lecture. We create environments where teachers work alongside their peers, reflect on their practice, and design meaningful learning experiences for the children in their classrooms.

Because when teachers thrive, learners thrive.

Transforming teaching. Improving learning.

Last weekend, we hosted another impactful Teachers’ Demo Session at Crown Jewels Learning Center in Budo.

We were inspired by the overwhelming turnout, bringing together 55 passionate preschool teachers from over 10 schools. During the session, teachers didn’t just explore our learner engagement tools—they experienced them as powerful instructional resources. By shifting perspective from “play materials” to purposeful teaching tools, we demonstrated how meaningful, engaging learning experiences can be created in any classroom.

This is what transforming education looks like—equipping teachers with practical, effective approaches that improve learning outcomes for every child.

Next up: our 3-day Teachers’ Bootcamp happening next month. If you’re ready to deepen your practice and transform your classroom, this is one opportunity you don’t want to miss.

Teachers are the engine of education systems. Without confident and skilled teachers, reforms remain on paper.
Professional development must be continuous, practical, and responsive to classroom activities.

Our teacher trainings focus on improving classroom practice and learner outcomes.

PRODUCT INTRO - THE VARIETY PACK:

The Ajibu Variety Pack is our flagship learner engagement resource - and it is unlike anything else in our schools today. Designed for Nursery through P7, it includes an assortment of tools that enable children to explore literacy, mathematics, and science through hands-on, open-ended play.

What makes it different? No fixed rules - children think independently, and experiment freely and it’s aligned to the Competence-Based Curriculum, covers multiple learning and development areas.

Children who interact with the Variety Pack don’t just learn content, they develop critical thinking skills, creativity, collaboration and confidence to take charge of their own learning. This is what Uganda’s children need. And this is what the variety pack delivers.

More than 90% of Ugandan children are enrolled in school. Yet, 83% cannot read with comprehension or perform basic maths at grade level.

This gap between enrollment and learning is one of the most pressing challenges in Uganda and Sub-Saharan Africa.

But it is Solvable. At Ajibu Community, we believe the solution begins with the quality of TEACHING. When teachers have the right tools, the right skills and support, then children LEARN. But when they don’t, the system fails even when children show up! Our learner engagement and play resources are designed specifically for our classrooms, aligned to the CBC curriculum and proven to increase learner engagement and outcomes.
