Our Story

There is an orphan crisis in Uganda. Currently the country is home to nearly 2.5 million children who have lost one or both parents to HIV/AIDS, extreme poverty and civil conflict. In fact, Uganda has the largest orphan population per capita of any country in the world. Due to a lack of government-subsidized education, Poor Medical care, lack of shelter and basic needs. We the members of Kids Hope Uganda have identified ourselves with the need to make a contribution to the problems mentioned above, with the desire and passion to see that the affected children find hope, love and healing in spiritual faith. Kids Hope Uganda is a Community Based Organization, Non-profit organization based on a Christian foundation operating in Sembabule District

Kids Hope Uganda admits orphans and vulnerable children from the district especially those that are victims of HIV/AIDS which is highly prevalent in the above mentioned region and Uganda in general. Despite the fact that this organization is based on a Christian foundation it admits all vulnerable children regardless of their religious affiliation. The project also conducts campaigns to fight stigma and discrimination in the general population and promote the rights of orphans, vulnerable children and people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHAS) It should be noted that these children deserve to get education but unfortunately they can’t afford to meet the school dues because they are orphans and others come from single poor families. Its against this back ground Kids Hope Uganda kindly requests for your kind assistance and financial support in an effort to help educate the orphans and vulnerable children under our care. Homeless and impoverished Aids orphans and vulnerable children are in need of care and education. Kids Hope Uganda wants to break this poverty cycle by helping the absolute poorest of the poor; we can make the greatest impact on society starting with children since they are the foundation of world’s future. As orphans and vulnerable children’s lives change so will it be with the generations to come.
