These aren't just notebooks for school-going children; they are the result of hard work, new skills, and a dream for a better future.
​Through our vocational printing project at Arise Women Empowerment Center Africa, women in Jinja are learning to print and bind these books to earn a dignified living.

Its been an incredible year

We bless God for Gods amazing power and mercy.
223 women registered in the 11 groups in and around Jinja managed to save 141,415,800m Ugx in 2025.
This has come with hard work and resilience. Desire to grow and get empowered.
Special thanks goes to HEWT Foundation which has boasted us with interest free loans to give these mothers to add or start businesses.

This is a story of hope reborn.
After facing setbacks that led to a loss of hope, she found the support she needed at Awec-Africa and we have relaunched her beloved business of selling peanut paste.

Brenda 10 months ago faced a period where her dreams felt distant and hope seemed lost after her business of selling peanut paste (oddi) A married woman and a mother of 3 was helpless because even her husband lost the job so the capital was all consumed while taking care of rent, school fees, medical fees and food for the family.

But the incredible team at AWEC-AFRICA stepped in, offering not just support but a lifeline to her former business. Thanks to those that have bought her food and basics to start on ontop of the business items

Today, she's back on her feet, proving that with the right encouragement and resources, anything is possible. Let's celebrate her strength and the grace through prayer and writing down her budget which surely God answered back.
