Therapy doesn't only take place in physiotherapy sessions; sometimes it happens around a patch of floor with little hands patiently working on puzzle pieces. 🧩

On Wednesday afternoon, Sam and Prosy spent hours completing jigsaw puzzles. They learned to match shapes, think critically, and strengthen their hand-eye coordination—all while having fun.

The importance of hand-eye coordination can significantly impact their lives. It influences how they learn, play, write, eat, dress themselves, and engage with the world around them. These small activities help build skills that support independence in everyday life.

Watching them grasp new concepts and grow in confidence served as a beautiful reminder that progress often comes in small moments. Every puzzle piece they placed correctly represented more than just a game won; it was a step toward greater independence. đź’›

On the 15th of April, we made a simple decision that changed everything for Ibram.

We stopped focusing only on walking and started focusing on what he loves.

We brought in a ball. We turned physiotherapy into play. What looked like exercise became football. And in that moment, something shifted. It wasn’t just therapy anymore. It was joy, purpose, and possibility.
Abraham left that day with a new kind of determination.

He didn’t just want to walk. He wanted to walk so he could play football.

As we were leaving, he said,
“Mummy, I want to go on the parallel bar. I’m determined to walk. Mummy, I want to walk.”

That moment stayed with us.
Because somewhere along this journey, we’re getting something right.
We’re not just helping him move.

We’re helping him believe.
And that belief is turning into passion.

Jarom is six years old. When we first met him, he couldn’t stand or walk, and even the simplest movements were a struggle for him. Today, he is learning to walk. His steps aren’t perfect, but he is smiling, laughing, and growing stronger every week.

Sharita’s journey has been just as remarkable. She arrived weak and undernourished, with her legs tightly contracted, making movement difficult and progress seem far away. Now, however, her legs are beginning to move more freely. She is laughing, smiling, and engaging with the world around her by turning her head toward sounds in ways she couldn’t before.

These moments are why we do what we do.

However, the truth is that most of a child's life doesn't happen in the clinic. We see each child for a short 20 minutes. The rest of their story unfolds at home.

Children like Jarom and Sharita are making incredible progress, but there are many more children whose stories are still developing and who need the same level of care and attention.

We are committed to ensuring we can support them, not just in the clinic, but also in their homes, where it matters most.

A Clinic I Will Never Forget

Yesterday’s clinic was the most powerful one I have ever led. From the very beginning, I felt a strong prompting to pray for the women. It was not a passing thought; it stayed with me, persistent and significant, and I knew we needed to create space for it.

We began by inviting prayer requests and shared from Psalm 139:1–3. That simple moment opened the door. Slowly, the women began to share their stories. Their experiences carry real weight. Being a parent of a child with a disability is already demanding, but in communities where stigma and rejection are common, the burden becomes even heavier.

Three women spoke openly. Mama Imruan is facing deep conflict with her in-laws; she believes her sister-in-law is using witchcraft against her son and daughter. Mama Shakira told us how her husband was robbed, and their home was broken into. She expressed feeling constantly under attack.

As we listened, Israel and Enoch shared about prayer—not just how to pray, but about the power of prayer. What stood out most was this: every woman wanted prayer.

Every woman desired to be seen by God, regardless of her background—whether Muslim, Catholic, or SDA—they all sought a touch from Him.

As we discussed God’s love and His care for them amidst their situations, something shifted in the room. You could feel it. The atmosphere grew still yet full. Peace settled in a way I have never experienced before.

By the time we finished, there was a quiet joy among the women. It was as if something heavy had been lifted.

We then moved into physiotherapy exercises, but the ministry did not stop there. We spent extra time with two mothers who were carrying especially heavy burdens, offering encouragement and simply being present with them.

Yesterday was a reminder that sometimes the most important work is not in the program itself, but in making space for God to meet people right where they are.

Oh, woman. So strong, yet so vulnerable, and so powerful.

Yesterday, on the 5th of March, we received several new children, with about three different cases arriving in a short time. It felt like moving from one family to another, and then another. With each mother, we sat down, listened, and tried to understand their situations. We counseled them about malnutrition, discussed how to feed their children, assessed their needs, and aimed to grasp the full context of their lives.

The best counselor for a woman is often another woman who has already experienced similar struggles. So, we brought many of the mothers together. We provided a space for them to sit, talk, and encourage one another. They shared their stories and revealed what was truly happening in their homes and hearts.

One child broke my heart. Sometimes, I am still shocked by what I see—the pain and the challenges. There was a one-year-old child crying like a newborn. When you work with children, you learn that a one-year-old’s cry is different, yet this child was the size of a newborn.

Mama Jackie and Mama Chosen welcomed each of these women with love. Every mother who came needed support, encouraging words, and someone to reassure her that she was not alone—that her situation was not unique—and that her child still had the potential to improve.

I remember the smile of one mother as we talked. I believe she understood the message I was trying to convey: There is a plan, there is purpose, and there is a future.

Her child’s sister had died during childbirth, and for the past year, she had been raising this child while carrying that grief. Yet this little one still has potential. This child still has the opportunity to grow and develop if fed properly.

First comes feeding; later comes movement and exercise. However, when a child is so tiny, the immediate goal is simply to nourish their body enough for it to begin growing.

We referred her to the health center, showed her how to feed her child, and provided guidance and encouragement.

But now the question remains: How do we visit this family? How do we walk alongside them beyond this moment?
