About us
Children’s Restoration Center (CRC) is a Vibrant grassroots Non-profit Community Organization based in the Busoga Sub-region particularly Iganga Municipality in Iganga District. CRC seeks to decrease the vulnerability with particular attention to sexual vulnerability, health threats, and Education by providing the safe home environment, providing education, improved health, and clothing for these vulnerable children and sensitizing the community on the dangers of child abuse, child negligence, and benefits of providing children with a safe environment for learning.
Iganga District is the district with the highest rate of school dropouts, faced with a high rate of poverty which affects the health of children and bars them from going to school and achieve quality education compared to other districts in Uganda.
People in this sub-region are poor and food insecure. The sub-region continues to register poor education grades, health care, and a high level of unemployment. Many cases of child abuse are reported like sexual abuse, physical abuse, and child neglect which all lead to school dropouts leading to a reckless life.
