CHALLENGES
CHALLENGES
Poor medication.at our orphanage because we have over 10 children battling with HIV aids but because we don’t have any source of income we cannot effort to buy the drugs. Even the government which used to provide it stopped completely due to high demand. This comes in way that many of our children lack what to put on and shoes and others including the beddings like mattresses, mosquito nets, blankets, bed sheets. Lack of education. There is lack of education because the children are many and we don’t have any source of income where we can get money to educate these children. So this has been a great challenge because our children don’t know how to read and write and sometimes we want to teach them bible reading but they don’t know English. Lack of essential items i.e. Many of our girls at the orphanage have started experiencing their monthly periods but because no source of income for the orphanage its a chalange to buy the pads for the girls. So because of that many girls have resorted to use leaves and old clothes to handle this situation. Though this makes them uncomfortable and feels bad to associate with other. Lack of sports items. During our leisure most of the children lack what to use while playing. We lack balls for girls and boys, ropes, toys and sports uniforms as well. Lack of scholastic materials. Inadequate beddings. Given that the number of children are many we lack enough beds where our children can sleep at night. At the orphanage, we have only 10 despite the number of children at the orphanage which is 42, these beds are not enough. Lack of a project van. At our orphanage we lack a van which can be used to facilitate our transportation work
Lack of source of income hence depending on donations. Challenge for rent. Given the fact that the place where we are staying does not belong to Us.
