The Bishop of Hoima Catholic Diocese, Rt. Rev. Vincent Kirabo Amooti, has urged pilgrims bound for Rome to remain focused on their spiritual journey, cautioning them against getting distracted by unfamiliar sights.
The bishop offered these words of wisdom while leading a mass to pray for the safe travels of the 89 pilgrims embarking on their journey today. The pilgrims will be in Rome from September 8th to 13th.
During the mass, Bishop Kirabo reminded the faithful of the seven key pillars to observe during this year's pilgrimage. These include passing through holy doors, reconciling with God, persistent prayer, commitment to liturgy, fearless proclamation of the Catholic faith, and seeking indulgences. The Mass was at Kolping Hotel in Kampala on Sun 7 Sept 2025.
