The new name of the Organization is Forum for Rights Awareness and Monitoring (FORAMO) Uganda changed from Human Rights Activists and Monitoring Organization (HURAMO)-Uganda which was a community based civil society organization that was founded in 2006 with the core objective of providing a platform for lobbying and policy dialogue with local governments and other institutions to promote democrat
ic governance, social accountability, healthcare campaigns, human rights promotion and protection through monitoring, research, documentation and reporting. Under the new name FORAMO Uganda with permit file no (S.5914/12832) we have a Countrywide mandate though currently we are having activities in Acholi sub region. The activities shall be in the fields of promoting citizens' participation in development processes and Accountability, human rights and the Rule of Law, promoting participatory democracy and governance and engaging in Research and Advocacy.
