House To House We empower people in Uganda to learn about God's love and to share His love to their neighbors.

We are discipling people in Uganda to grow in their faith as well as help grow their families and friends faith along with them. African society is one without fences, where people's communities are built in spending time with their neighbors. We are discipling men and women to bring God's word into their existing communities so that they grow together as a church body though reading the word, hea

ring the Holy Spirit and applying it to their daily lives. As disciples make new disciples, the Gospel will spread across boundaries, and the Kingdom of God will fill new hearts and homes in all of Uganda.

World Mosquito Day is observed each year on 20 August. It was on this day in 1897 that a British doctor, Sir Ronald Ross, discovered the link between mosquitoes, malaria and humans. He found out that the malaria parasite is transmitted to human beings due to the bite of certain mosquitoes. Unfortunately, malaria is the leading cause of illness and death in Uganda, gravely impacting health and productivity. As of 2023, Uganda had the 3rd highest global burden of malaria cases (4.8%) and the 8th highest level of deaths (2.7%). It also had the highest proportion of malaria cases in East and Southern Africa, accounting for 20% in 2023. ~ info reported from WHO

That's right... that delicious vanilla flavor is straight out of Uganda! Ben & Jerry's works with Fair trade vanilla co-op called the Rwenzori Farmers Cooperative Union in Uganda. It has 2,500 members of small farmers working together to grow great vanilla and export it to your pint of ice cream. YUM! 🍦

We pray for deepened relationships and a sense of community that would encourage our brothers and sisters to run the race set before them together, building each other up as the body of Christ. We pray for special friendships that are grounded in the Kingdom and always point towards You. In Your holy name, Amen.

The Grey Crowned Crane was chosen as Uganda's national emblem because of its beauty and elegance. Commonly called the Crested Crane, it is a bird of national significance to Uganda, it is both on the national flag and coat of arms. They perform mating dances, but even dance for one another outside of breeding season. They share a love of dance with their human Ugandan brothers. 🕺💃

Mangoes are one of the most popular fruits in Uganda and in demand year round. Fortunately, Mangoes are evergreen so we have all the mangoes we need. Happy World Mango day!!! Go get some mango strings caught in your teeth!
