Family Care Uganda Family Care Uganda provides hope and a future for children coming from a hopeless place. The world is gaving challenges these days. Thank you. We need your help.

Providing a school for disadvantaged children from northern Uganda, we also sponsor many into secondary school and on into successful careers. No more so than the poorest of the poor. Family Care Uganda has been registered in Uganda since 1999 and our main focus is establishing a fully self-sustained school for some of the most disadvantaged in Gulu who were born to child soldiers during the war. Others we sponsor, amidst our 200 children are from the remote Ik tribe and many young refugees from South Sudan. We continue to sponsor scores through secondary school and a number through tertiary. We are small but effective!

So thankful! Friends from Belgrave-Ferntree Gully Rotary held a Cocktails for a Cause event and raised $3,500 for our medical expenses for the next year! We are so grateful! With endemic malaria and all our young ones at school and our older ones we sponsor, medical costs to keep them all healthy and well are very high! The team raised enough to cover our medical expenses for a whole year! 🎶💃🏿🕺🏿👌🏾🙏🏾💖

Yay! Term 3 is starting! We finished term 2 the top out of the 74 schools in our District again! From extremely challenging circumstances, in refugee camps or from the marginalised Ik tribe, from deep poverty, our kids and older ones are proving, year after year, that there is no limit to a team who trust God!

They are responsible adults now: a couple running clinics, teaching sciences in high school, running excellent farms, even a member of local l government looking after people! When our children come from completely different tribes and language groups, something like learning English terms for cousins, nephews and step-sister are actually quite complex and challenging! A wonderful group of children at Park Ridge Primary school in Australia took time to make beautiful cards for our children of similar grades. Our kiddos are so excited, they're really happy to make cards back and we'll mail them soon. It's so interesting as children talk about their hobbies and lives and are starting to build bridges across cultures!
