CEED Uganda (Community, Empowerment, Education, Development) is a non-profit organization that works to empower youth in our communities. Every summer, university students and recent graduates from all over Uganda come to Gulu to work in our internship program alongside students from Concordia University in Canada. Our internships include: The Youth Talk Radio Show with Rupiny FM, Youth Grant Project, Environmental Sustainability, Phonics Research, and Youth Services Research.

CEED held two dialogue meetings with the stone quarry vendor groups at Kasubi Central, near the Aooya stream, in Gulu City. The dialogue meetings seek to address the prevailing Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) in relation environmental conditions as well as as interventions within the catchment area and to review roles and responsibilities of the different players, as well as to understand the existing sanitation and environment policies and guidelines, all aimed at improving the quality and quantity of water in Gulu.

The full-scale source protection project in Gulu is supervised by AID Environment in association with Amref Uganda and Heifer International on behalf of the National Water and Sewerage Corporation and funded by the World Bank

CEED held a community engagement meeting for residents of Cubu Acoyo to foster inclusive community dialogue and collaboration on Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) and environmental challenges related to sanitation. Emphasis was put on Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) to ensure that the voices of women, youth, and marginalized groups are heard and integrated into the planning and implementation of sanitation solutions. Full-Scale Source Protection project in Gulu is supervised by AidEnvironment in association with Amref Health Africa in Uganda and Heifer International Uganda on behalf of National Water and Sewerage Corporation National Water and Sewerage Corporation. The project is funded by the World Bank under the Integrated WMDP.
