Educational Support and Health Organization(ESHO) is a beneficiary oriented grass root Non-Governmental Organization established by youths in Gulu(Head quarter) in Gulu town, which was severely affected by a diversity of social, economic, political and health problems; chief among them of all: HIV/AIDS ,malaria alongside poverty. With the help of dedicated Board, currently the Organization is unde

rgoing a fundamental process, at its initial stage geared towards consolidating its resource mobilization so as to more effectively and efficiently reach a larger marginalized community like the aged, married couples, PwP’s, PLWD’s, stigmatized positive living mothers, children, the youths, school dropout, orphans as a result of HIV/AIDS among others. The formation of Educational Support and Health Organization (ESHO) was based on the following mystery; “The health of marginalized communities is compromised in its holistic context of physical, mental, social well-being and not just the absence of diseases or infirmity. In the same context, the ability to appropriately and sustainably respond to livelihood challenges and demands by the marginalized communities are a key determinant of health and thus fighting inherent under development and incapacitation is a key strategy to a sustained holistic health community”. Embedded in this mystery is a series of intertwined problems to be addressed by the Organization. Such include: curbing down of high increase in child parents, high spread of HIV/AIDS, crime rate and unemployment among the youths, as well as vocational and computer Literacy trainings coupled with provision of safe water to the homesteads among others. Education for Sustainable Development is one of the series activities ESHO aim at. We believe, this will make our local people realize how valuable they are in”Development”
