*FAMILY SERIES: DEALING WITH SIBLING RIVALRY*
Sibling rivalry is one of the oldest and most destructive forces in families. It is a spirit of unhealthy competition that seeks to win at any cost, often leading to lasting enmity between brothers and sisters.
Many parents fail to address it early, and as a result, their children grow up with division, bitterness, and resentment. Some families are weak today because of these unresolved conflicts, unable to build a lasting legacy together.
The Bible provides multiple examples of sibling rivalry and its devastating effects. Cain killed Abel (Genesis 4:8). Ishmael and Isaac’s descendants have had an ongoing conflict (Genesis 16:12). Joseph’s brothers sold him into slavery because of it (Genesis 37:4-28). Wherever sibling rivalry exists, the enemy has room to thrive.
God desires unity within families. He calls us to love, forgive, and support one another. When families walk in harmony, they build a strong foundation for future generations. Unity fosters strength, purpose, and prosperity, but division weakens the very fabric of a household.
If you struggle with sibling conflict, it is not too late to restore peace. Choose to forgive, seek reconciliation, and refuse to let pride or past hurts dictate your relationships. The Lord blesses unity, and He is willing to heal broken family ties when we surrender them to Him.

*PRAYER:* Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of family. I repent of any bitterness, envy, or resentment I may have toward my siblings. I pursue peace and unity in my household. You heal broken relationships and restore love where division has taken root. You teach me to value my brothers and sisters and to walk in harmony, just as You desire. In Jesus' name, Amen.
