What does economic exclusion actually look like for womxn with disabilities in rural Uganda? We mapped out the baseline realities, and the numbers speak volumes:
🔴 85% lack access to capital, grants, or mentorship.
🟡 65% face communication barriers because Sign Language Interpretation is rarely or never available at public events.
🔵 55% experience digital access barriers, alongside a fear of online backlash.
Despite being trapped in financial “survival mode,” there is an incredibly high willingness and desire among these womxn to lead advocacy efforts and learn how to demand accountability. The will is there , the access is what’s missing. This report is our essential yardstick as we work to build a more inclusive, resilient, and economically just future.
