Busy day at the Boma officeโฆ and especially busy day for one of our favorite furry team member! ๐พ๐ธ
At YES Uganda, even Ginger the cat has responsibilities! After supervising hostel life, inspecting the Boma office, and โreviewingโ important paperwork (by sitting on it, of course), she has officially decided itโs nap time. ๐ค๐
Being a cat at the YES hostel and Boma office is serious work!

What a great day at YES Uganda! ๐ง
Today we were able to give out water filters to families who are part of the YES Uganda program. A total of 250 filters were delivered to the YES Uganda office, and so far 50 have already been distributed.
We were also able to spend time training families on how to use the filters, which was really encouraging. We are excited to continue giving out more water filters next week and in the weeks ahead, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact clean water will have on familiesโ lives.
What a great day!

๐ง A Powerful Day at Manna Rescue Home ๐ง
We had an amazing day at Manna Rescue Home as we launched the first step of our new Water Purifier Project ๐
All our staff took part in a full training session on how to use, clean, and care for the water filters. Each staff member received a water filter, and we were also so happy to give one to every child who is part of the MRH family ๐
We were especially blessed to have a special trainer travel all the way from Kampala โ a 6-hour journey โ to teach us. He explained the science behind the water purifiers, how they work, why clean water matters, and how to keep them safe and effective for long-term use.
This training has equipped our team with knowledge that will protect health, prevent illness, and bring lasting change to daily life at MRH.
๐ Thank you to everyone who supported and donated. Because of you, this is the first step into a wider project โ bringing clean, safe drinking water to families in Uganda.
Clean water changes lives. Thank you for walking this journey with us ๐งโค๏ธ

๐ Manna Rescue Home is back and OPEN for 2026! ๐
We are so happy to welcome the children back after the holidays. The home is once again full of life, laughter, and busy days as many children return โ and we are also looking forward to welcoming new children to fill the spaces we still have.
Itโs the hot season here in Fort Portal, and the days are very hot and dusty. Sadly, some children are struggling with colds and flu, which is not easy during this season. We have started deworming all the children again to help keep everyone healthy and strong.
Despite the challenges, our hearts are full. We are excited and hopeful to see what 2026 will bring for Manna Rescue Home. Thank you to everyone who continues to support, pray, and stand with us โ we couldnโt do this without you. ๐

๐ YES Uganda Christmas Update ๐
As we now close for Christmas, we want to say a huge thank you to our amazing donors from all around the world.
Because of your generosity, we have been able to provide Christmas food packages to all the families who are part of YES Uganda and Manna Rescue Home (MRH). Each family received essential items including rice, beans, cooking oil, posho, salt, groundnuts, and other special items.
This means families can celebrate Christmas together, with food on the table, sharing meals, joy, and precious family time โค๏ธ.
From all of us at YES Uganda, thank you for standing with our children and families. Your love and support truly make a difference.
๐ Merry Christmas to you all ๐
With gratitude,
YES Uganda Team ๐บ๐ฌโจ

In 1995 Carol Adams was living in Maui, Hawaii where she was running a large riding and horse training stable. Carol enjoyed the work, people and life in Maui but felt that she should be contributing more to the world. In July of that year she felt a strong calling from the Lord that children in Africa needed her. Carol Adams applied to many mission agencies but was turned down because of her age and lack of education.
In November she met a Christian singing group called the Limit X from Kampala who asked Carol to come to Uganda to run an orphanage they had. She left Maui and arrived in Uganda on January 2nd, 1996. The orphanage was no longer operating and much money was needed to rent and re-open it.
While staying in Kampala a wonderful Ugandan lady befriended Carol and introduced her to an elderly missionary couple. They in turn introduced her to a man who ran an orphanage in Mukono, a town outside of Kampala. He invited Carol to stay there until she knows her next steps.
Carol Adams met a young man there who was from the Fort Portal area and came with him to establish a program with the needy orphans from his area. In Fort Portal she started to work under the Church of Uganda with a Child Care Outreach program and in 2004 established the NGO called Youth Encouragement Services, (Y.E.S.) Over the years the program has evolved and grown in amazing ways with cooperation with large international organizations and many generous individuals and churches throughout the world.
Carol Adams continues to praise God for His many miracles in growing this program and in teaching her so much about trust and faith in Him.
