Agency For Community Development and Welfare - Acodewe ACODEWE is an indigenous CBO founded in 2006 to address the needs and rights or marginalized groups like Orphans and Vulnerable children, PWD etc.

Agency for community Development and welfare (ACODEWE), is a community Based Organization registered with Kabarole District in Western Uganda. It was started in 2006 by a group of people to address the social-economic rights of the marginalized groups. The driving force was to ensure that the vulnerable people access their basic needs so as to enhance the full development of their potential throug

h collective participation and implementation of interventions. Objectives of ACODEWE are:
• To address the needs and rights of marginalized groups
• To enhance social and economic empowerment of the community.
• To strengthen the capacity and provide relevant information and training to stakeholders
• To increase community participation in community based and other development initiatives.
• To mobilize resources for community developmental grass root based interventions.

We had a fruitful meeting with a team form Children's Rights and Violence Prevention Fund and it's Partners Joy for Children and KAANA Foundation.
The meeting was to introduce a new cluster that has been formed that Includes TOCI, ACODEWE and IGBADI. We hope by joining forces, a lot will be achieved in the area of child rights promotion, prevention of all forms of violence against children and empowering the Girl child.
