MMU Center of African Development Studies focuses on collecting artifacts, archiving, recording elders testimonies, research and designing an academic study program in African Studies aiming at producing African oriented development models. The centre has the following objectives:
• To identify, acquire, preserve and reconstruct cultural traditions and records of enduring value for posterity.
• To

build a cultural center where academics and skills integrate to enhance individual capacity.
• To support community based research and teaching through access to cultural information.
