Promoting Nutrition and Health in Kicalata, Village, Harugongo Subcounty Kabarole district

Yonderlife Africa, recently worked with households in Kicalata Village to improve nutrition, food security, and health. Together with the Subcounty team and local leaders, we established kitchen gardens, installed hand-washing tippy taps, distributed mosquito nets, and promoted indigenous fruits and vegetables.

We also introduced locally made utensil drying racks to support better household sanitation. By working with the Subcounty Chief, Agricultural Officer, CDO, Secretary for Health, and LC1 Chairman, we ensured sustainability and alignment with community priorities.

This project is a step toward healthier and more resilient families across the Rwenzori Region.

All 64 of our Yonder Life children started heading back to school this week.

YOU, YOU DID THIS!!! Thank you!! Your support and prayers provided what was needed to keep all of them moving forward in their education. HUGE win for them!!

Second week of September we have 63 children returning for semester 3 of the school year. Total of the tuitions and fees is $9,366.

If you are able to help, here is a breakdown below. Truly every amount is a blessing and goes 100% to this need.

31 - Primary Day Scholars ($124 per child)

8 - Primary Boarding Scholars ($203 per child)

4 - Secondary Day Scholars ($144 per child)

13 - Secondary Boarding Scholars ($211 per child)

7 - Staff Scholars ($86 per child)
