🏆 Clinton Global Initiative Award Recipient Kyaninga child development centre (KCDC) was established to provide much needed high quality, specialised assessment, treatment, education and support to children wit

h disabilities, and their families and carers, to enable them to live more independent lives. There are very limited resources and services available for children with disabilities in this region of Western Uganda and families must travel long distances to access specialist medical care. At KCDC we try to make access to care and therapy as affordable as possible for families and carers, who often struggle with the additional financial burden of looking after a child with disabilities or special needs. And just like the children who depend on our support, we depend on the support of donors, sponsors and well-wishers to meet our diverse running costs, including rent, wages, transport and equipment. What an incredible day at the Kyaninga Triathlon 2026! 🎉

From the energy of the athletes to the amazing community spirit, this year’s triathlon was truly a great success.

A special highlight of the day was the wonderful performances by the talented KIMS students, who brought so much joy, energy, and inspiration to the event. ✨

We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the participants and athletes who continue to attend and support the Kyaninga Triathlon year after year. Through your continued participation and generosity, you help support children with disabilities and their families, giving the work of KCDC continued hope and impact.

Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, volunteered, and helped make the day so memorable. We are already excited for next year!

We were honoured to welcome the new City Education Officer, John Bosco Tumwesigye, as our Guest of Honour, who presented awards to 54 dedicated teachers. It was a proud moment as we recognised outstanding commitment and impact in education across our community.
