Last year, on the recommendation of one of our school volunteers, Timothy Kazooba, Sadhguru School took part in the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition for the very first time.

The 2025 competition was record-breaking, attracting 53,434 entries from across the 56 member countries of the Commonwealth — a massive 53% increase from 2024.

Out of 53,434 entries from across the Commonwealth, our students earned:

2 Gold Awards

2 Silver Awards

2 Bronze Awards

1 Certificate of Participation (a half-hearted, last-minute entry driven by FOMO!)

This was the first time our students were writing essays exceeding 1,000 words — the minimum requirement was 1,500.

We couldn’t be more proud 🥹 🙏🏾

Glimpses from our internal showcase; our children have the opportunity to share their learning in a fun and engaging manner.
The showcase features presentations from each class highlighting key learnings in the sciences and humanities. It focuses on “light-hearted” activities such as : quizzes, demonstrations, experiments, songs, skits and exhibitions of art and vocational products.

Angamardana workshop recently held at the school where one of our students; Jolly in year 6 had the opportunity to demo for the program. Angamardana is one of the Hatha Yoga practices that our children do daily.

For Jolly this was a new experience she embraced and threw herself into completely so that the program could be offered in a certain way.
“ I feel like I’m doing my practice correctly now” Jolly expressed after her experience of being a demo.

Snippets from the year 7’s clean up of their local market in Rwaihamba town, where over 300 community members including 60 from Sadhguru School, joined hands to clear up the streets and back paths of plastic bags, bottles, broken jerricans and discarded vegetable/banana stem waste from the market.

On the same day, Rogers and Ignatious from Year 7 worked with a local builder, learning the art of mixing aggregate, sand and cement, to concrete in 6 metal dustbins that had been commissioned from Welder Julius using a portion of the kids’ Peace Department grant.
