Ask any parent, their child's smile is one of the most beautiful sights to behold. And at Kemlong Kids Dental, we're committed to keeping it healthy and bright now and later in life.
Well, last Saturday, there was no better way to round up the school holiday than hosting children from the surrounding community for a "dental rendezvous." No checkups. No drills. No tooth-pullups. Just a friendly rendezvous! Kemlong Kids Dental and Hark Dental received close to 90 children, who did not only come to get toothpaste and toothbrushes, but also to enjoy a favourable environment where there was learning from each other- actually, we learnt a great deal from these little ones. Stories were told; songs sung; gifts donated and smiles exchanged. But above all, love was shared. We are now convinced that as far as their dental integrity is concerned, these chilfren are good to start the new term. The parents who came along with their children are our true heroes, thank you for not seeing this event as a political move, and thank you for not making it a political platform.
We still believe that education and prevention are the keys to long term success in dentistry and life in general. We cannot do this alone but with your help, we can raise awareness and resources to accelerate and promote better oral health among children, for they're thousands of them out there who haven't been reached out to!
Thank you iHelp Foundation for coming through. Then to Colgate and to the leadership of Katabi- Busambaga LC 1, our undying gratitude is forever engraved on our hearts- thank you for your unwavering support.
