OUT AND PROUD (O.A.P) is a non-profit LGBT organization offering health services and legal first aid and youth empowerment. O.A.P was founded in March of 2015, and is a non profit organisation. We cater for LGBT Ugandans who are " COMING OUT" and those already "OUT"
Our main goals are to help the members of the LGBT communities but also share fact based information with our heterosexual neigh
bors and loved ones so that we will no longer live in the groups of others. O.A.P main target is the LGBT community particularly addressing issues of HIV/ AIDS and how homophobia is a major contribution to high vulnerability. To emphasis information , life skills and dust of positive attitudes and values and also identify and develop a referral system for LGBT health needs and legal support. Awareness programs through workshops to do sensitization on Health and legal services
Carrying out voluntary counselling and testing of HIV/AIDS and other ST I's. Distribution of Health consumables such as condoms and lubricants. Creating safe space for LGBT community in Uganda through advocacy for fundamental Human Rights. Counseling and guidance of our members on different issues affecting them in relation to discrimination and stigma.
