FRUITFULNESS IN THE CROSS
Isaiah 56:3-5(KJV) Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the Lord, speak, saying, The Lord hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eu**ch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. For thus saith the Lord unto the eu**chs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
What the Lord is saying in our theme scripture is that even when a eu**ch joins the Israelite community, he has no reason to remain unfruitful. In other words, there was a power resident among the Israelites that could cause even a castrated man to produce fruit. God deliberately looks at the worst‑case scenario of human limitation in order to demonstrate what His power can accomplish, that can cause a castrated man to bear fruit. In all of this, God was ultimately seeking to justify the weight and significance of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Therefore, God says to the eu**ch that there are specific things He will give him that would make him fruitful, but these things can only be received within the house of God. This means that the resources and provisions capable of producing fruitfulness for the eu**ch were located in God’s house. In that house, God promised to give the eu**ch a name better than that of sons and daughters, as well as a place.
Now, in the Hebrew language, imagery is often used to convey the depth and weight embedded in words. When one studies the Hebrew word translated as house in our theme scripture, the image it presents is that of a tent and a cross. This is vividly depicted in the construction of the Tabernacle of the Congregation. The Tabernacle of Moses was designed in a manner that formed a cross‑like structure. Thus, God was literally directing the eu**ch to come to the house of God, here understood as the place where the preaching of the cross takes place. It was in that place that the eu**ch would receive the power required for fruitfulness.
Within that house, the eu**ch would also receive both a name and a place. Remarkably, the Hebrew word rendered as name carries the meaning of glory, while the imagery associated with a place, points to the hand of God at work; moving, arranging, and orchestrating affairs. Hallelujah!
In essence, this was God’s invitation to the eu**ch to behold the glory of God revealed in the face of Jesus Christ. As one continues to behold the Son of God, Jesus Christ, transformation occurs; you are changed into the very glory you behold. At the same time, the hand of God is summoned and actively released over your life.
Therefore, child of God, stop striving and praying merely for the glory of God or for His hand to be manifested. Instead, give yourself wholly to the preaching of the cross, and these realities will be naturally and abundantly granted to you. Glory to God!

CONFESSION
Thank You Lord for this insight. I have the glory of God shining upon me, and the hand of God rested upon me, simply because I have given myself to the preaching of the cross of Jesus Christ. The more I behold Him is the more I am transformed into that same glory, from glory to glory. Through Christ, I have received a name better than sons and daughters; I walk in honor, glory, and divine distinction, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
