What role can the animal health sector play in preventing urban yellow fever outbreaks? Today at 4:00 PM EAT, join a webinar hosted by WHO, PAHO, and WOAH exploring whether vaccinating primates in urban and peri-urban areas could reduce spillover risk.

CTPH Founder and CEO, Dr Gladys Kalema-Zikusoka will be among the panellists, contributing to a conversation on scientific rationale, operational feasibility, lessons from efforts like rabies control and potential to strengthen prevention in wildlife and rapidly evolving urban environments.

WOW! WHAT A MOMENT!

Earlier today, our field team had a front-row seat to witness the ultimate display of strength and dominance in Bwindi Forest!

Dorminant of Rushegura Gorilla family, Kabukojo showed us what he's made of with an epic chest-beat.

The beat of his chest echoed through the forest, a true show of power and pride!

We're so grateful to our team for capturing this incredible moment.

Have you been gorilla tracking, please share with us your favorite moments! "

Happy International Women's Day!

Women are the backbone of the community. Supporting women is important to us because they have helped us to strengthen gorilla conservation while improving community health and livelihood outcomes. Half of our Village Health and Conservation Team volunteer leaders are women!

Every investment in women has improved their lives as well as the lives of those around them, which in turn has helped the mountain gorillas!

Will you give to support the women we work with today?

Engaging communities is crucial for the success of conservation efforts. When families have access to health services and sustainable income, pressure on forests decreases, and the mountain gorillas and other wildlife are safer.

If you would like to learn more about how we use the proactive ONE HEALTH approach, which integrates human, animal, and environmental health, to save mountain gorillas, sign up to receive our newsletter.

When we protect mountain gorillas, we protect more than a species.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a mountain gorilla habitat, is one of the most biologically rich forests in Africa. It is home to endangered mountain gorillas and a home to other endangered species including chimpanzees, elephants, pangolins and home to over 300 bird species and 200 butterfly species, as well as extraordinary plant diversity and ecological systems.

This year’s World Wildlife Day theme reminds us that forests house medicinal and aromatic plants that sustain wildlife, support communities, regulate climate, and promote biodiversity.

Help us continue our work and give to mountain gorillas today.
