It’s with great pleasure that we announce a great milestone that the organisation has achieved. S.O.D was among the three selected nominees in the HIHA awards organised by the ministry of Health of republic of Uganda and we emerged first runners up in the COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER OF THE YEAR-EASTERN REGION.
We extend our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the ministry of health for recognising our work and initiatives. During the HIHA ceremony. We are therefore delighted to learn that, even with minimal or no support and remuneration, programs and initiatives operationalised by S.O.D are recognised as having a direct positive impact on the health and wellbeing of its beneficiaries.
We also appreciate all stakeholders, donors, prospective donors and all staff at sort for their tireless efforts vested in ensuring maximal delivery of services and successful completion of all programs and initiatives.
As S.O.D, we continuously committed to delivery of unwavering support and service to humanity especially, the empowerment of PWDs and other marginalised groups.
