There many dreams out there that never get a chance to breed simply because no one cared about the little homeless street kid, orphaned poor children, dirty local helpless children and much more vulnerable children. Here at Great Child Foundation, we go deep with their hearts and minds, we talk, share burdens and secrets with them, in this they learn to trust us with their lives and look up us whe
n they have a problem or a concern bothering their life at any time. We are one family made of different cultures and it’s our responsibility to have each other’s backs. We give them time and listen to their hearts, we talk positive and facts of life encouraging and showing them the right path. Counseling gives these children confidence and power that was once swept away from them by the harsh conditions and situations of their past. Great child makes it very clear that children’s reality today is important in its own right of well-being by looking both into the conditions under which children are doing well and child outcomes in a range of components. Understanding children’s views and concerns, their relationships and activities we not only give insight into their well-being today but also helps to identify those factors that support or hinder their development, creating a more comprehensive picture of their safe environment. We are a simple organization with a tough Vision;

Street Kids
Street children often become victims of sexual abuse, drug peddlers; take on the dangerous habit of sniffing glue or participating in petty crime. they are among the most vulnerable, neglected and deprived segment of the population. It is estimated that in Uganda there are more than 10,000 children on the streets and some are disabled, sickly, illiterate and all vulnerable to r**e, family/parental torture, child trafficking and sacrifice, infection of chronicle diseases, accidents. Limited opportunities are available, accessible and affordable to the people with disabilities for prevention and cure of disablement, education, training and employment in Uganda. This is where we come in from, Great Child Foundation is here to re-create hope in these children, reopen their minds to dream and focus on positive development. To do this we have to get these children off the street, give them a home then listen and fully understand their life story this creates a bond that makes us one happy family. As any other family we wish the best of our children, so we expose them to all available chances and opportunities to help them shape a future the world deserves since they dream of a better life, with a roof over their heads and sufficient food to eat. Orphans
Currently, Uganda has about 4 million orphans. Conservative estimates predict this number is growing too fast exponentially as the AIDS epidemic and wars sweeps a whole generation of parents away. The average Ugandan family has 7 children. When parents die, their children become a burden for extended family to carry. Relatives already struggle to provide for their own. As a result, the children are farmed out to different family members in diverse locations. Therefore, an orphaned child loses not only his parents, but often his siblings as well. Some are treated poorly by resentful relatives. Others try to survive on the streets. In all aspects, they are outcasts. Great Child Foundation we dedicated to take care and shelter Ugandan orphans. Our aim is to rescue, stabilize, nurture and educate as many orphans as possible. Our motivation is love. We see these kids as Uganda’s future leaders
