On behalf of Africa Children's Heart, we would like to formally address the recent loss of our social media pages and share with you what has transpired.
First and foremost, we extend our deepest appreciation to all our friends, sponsors, donors, and well wishers who have continuously supported us across our different projects. From the construction of the children’s home, the installation of solar power, the er****on of the tent, the building of washrooms, the chicken house project, the development of our small garden, the children’s medical care, their wellbeing and feeding, their education, and even standing with us in difficult moments like the recent bat invasion and ceiling works, your support has been the backbone of every milestone we have achieved. We are truly grateful.
Education remains at the heart of everything we do. It is the foundation upon which these children build their futures. Through education, they gain knowledge, confidence, and the ability to dream beyond their circumstances. It gives them a voice, a sense of purpose, and a pathway to becoming responsible and independent individuals. Because of your support, many children who once had no hope are now in school, learning, and shaping a better tomorrow.
A few days ago, we experienced a major setback when all our social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, were taken down. These accounts were interconnected, and once one was compromised, the rest followed. Upon realizing this, we immediately took action by submitting an appeal as guided, and we were informed to wait for feedback within 48 hours. However, all was in vain, hope was shattered, and we were left in deep pain.
Unfortunately, during this period, it became evident that my phone had been compromised. Actions were taking place without my knowledge or control. Given the urgency of communication, especially with the children’s needs and ongoing coordination with sponsors andfriends, I had to make a difficult but necessary decision to acquire a new phone and begin again from scratch. This has not been easy, but it was essential to ensure that our communication and operations continue without interruption.
What hurts the most is not just the loss of the platforms, but the loss of the stories, memories, and journey that lived on those pages. They carried the voices of our children, their growth, their struggles, their victories, a living testimony of transformation and hope. Losing that history has deeply affected us.
However, we remain strong and hopeful.
Just as we built those platforms before, we strongly believe that we shall build again, stronger, better, and with even greater impact. This journey has always been about resilience, and this moment will not define us, but rather strengthen us.
We humbly request your support once again. As we rebuild our online presence, kindly follow our new pages, share them with your friends, and encourage others to do the same. Together, we grow as one family.
This remains our official home and platform to continue sharing our story.
We are also pleased to inform you that we have opened a TikTok account: Africa Children’s Heart Uganda.
Let us rebuild together. Thank you for standing with us, always.
