VIDA is a Youth led non-profit community organization operating in Uganda, after starting as an edutainment youth talent club in 2008. Her experience to date is sexuality education and youth friendly sexual Reproductive Health Service provision; Edutainment, HIV prevention, Gender, Education, livelihoods and environment. VIDA believes that the family is the fundamental unit of a community and that
young people have a right to sexual health information. Its activities and interventions aim to improve the wellbeing of Young People through the implementation of communication for social and behavioral change. We use a sexual health promotion, and it practices communication for social change; it encourages critical thinking and dialogue to help people define who they are, what they need and how to move forward to a safer future. We also recognize that human is complex and results from a combination of context-specific influences, including environmental factors, social norms, health polices, the quality of health services and individual knowledge. For this reason, VIDA utilizes a systematic, continuous process shaped by evidence and feedback from its target audience to develop and keep track of programs addressing SRHR, HIV prevention, growth and development, education, parenting, youth meaningful participation/inclusiveness, child survival, farming; to mention but a few. VIDA edutainment shows are participatory, highly interpersonal and cater for diverse audience needs (Dilemma as a discussing point during health skits)
We exist to bring about constructive social change in the lives of young people and the environment around them.
