We hosted a team of visitors from PIKI-E-PIKI & TANKVOLT accompanied by Member of the County Assembly of Busia Bukhayo West ward, Hon. Peter Talaam at our Dada office to discuss a potential partnership which will help our beneficiaries.

Dhamira Moja CBO joined other stakeholders, including the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), the Health Department, the Media and the Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) such as Baridi kwa Baridi, Child line Kenya and the Child Welfare Society of Kenya, during the official Launch of the Free Pentecostal Fellowship in Kenya (FPFK) Joint Learning Project.

The Joint Learning Project, implementation under the Linda Mtoto Project is closely linked to both the Linda Mtoto and Gender Advocacy Project. The initiative will be implemented over a period of three years.

The Project is a capacity building and knowledge generation initiative aimed at strengthening the Child protection system through evidence-based Learning, research and collaboration.

Through the programme, our team strengthened its capacity in ๐๐š๐ญ๐š ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ญ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ฏ๐š๐œ๐ฒ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ฌ, gaining practical knowledge on the ๐Š๐ž๐ง๐ฒ๐š ๐ƒ๐š๐ญ๐š ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ญ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐€๐œ๐ญ, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ— lawful data processing, consent management, privacy, breach reporting, and ODPC compliance.

A key achievement of this journey was strengthening Dhamira Moja's organizational data governance systems through the development and enhancement of essential compliance documents, including our Data Protection Policy, Privacy Notice, Consent Forms, Data Retention and Disposal Schedule, Data Sharing Agreements with resource partners and stakeholders, Data Breach Reporting Procedures, and ODPC Registration Readiness Checklist.

These milestones reinforce our commitment to protecting personal data, promoting accountability, and ensuring responsible data management across all our programmes.

In partnership with Because International, and in collaboration with Amukura West Ward Member of County Assembly of Busia Hon Erute Bonface and Faulu Community Based Organization, we distributed over 2300 the Shoe that Grows to St. Anthony Parater, St. Benedict's Okwata, St. Anne's Akatagoroit and Akoreet Comprehensive Schools Public Comprehensive Schools students under our program; Dignity in Every Step.

We are committed to ensuring that every Student receives a pair of shoes. Over the past months, our team has been distributing The Shoe That Grows to Public Comprehensive Schools across Busia County.

Today marked a meaningful day in St. Rosa Odioi, St Luke ACK Okook, St Veronica Odiria and St. Peter's Akiriamas Comprehensive Schools at Amukura West Ward, Teso Central Sub County in Busia County during the distribution of The Shoe That Grows. The dayโ€™s Dignity in Every Step program in partnership with Because International aimed at restoring dignity, inspiring confidence and empowering communities benefited over 2000 Students.

We are deeply grateful to the Member of the County Assembly of Busia, Amukura Ward, Dr. Hon Erute Bonface and Faulu Community Based Organization who joined the Shoe Distribution Initiative and supported the process throughout the day.

The IMARA Project seeks to create safe, informed, and supportive learning environments by addressing the interconnected challenges affecting adolescents and young people, with a focus on ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก, ๐’๐‘๐‡๐‘, ๐ ๐ž๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ-๐›๐š๐ฌ๐ž๐ ๐ฏ๐ข๐จ๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž (๐†๐๐•) ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, ๐‡๐ˆ๐• ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, ๐ฌ๐š๐Ÿ๐ž๐ ๐ฎ๐š๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ , ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐ž๐ฆ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ.

๐Ÿ“Œ Reporting, documentation, and referral pathways

Through practical demonstrations, group presentations, and action planning the mentors are now better equipped to provide quality mentorship, identify learners in need of support, make appropriate referrals, and promote positive mental health and healthy life choices among young people.

Dignity in Every Step Program focuses on restoring dignity, inspiring confidence and empowering communities.

Yesterday, in partnership with Because International, we distributed over 1700 pairs of The Shoe That Grows to students of St. Alexander Amongura Comprehensive School and St. Patrick's Ong'aroi Comprehensive School in Chakol South Ward and Alupe Special School in Angorom Ward in Busia County.

Receiving new shoes can enhance students' self-esteem and confidence, making them feel better about themselves as they interact in the learning environment.
