GATES OF HOPE PROFILE. GATES OF HOPE was s
tarted by a team of members consisting of board members being led by the vision bearer (WANYAMA STEPHEN) in the community of Masafu Town Council Busia Uganda, as a Community based Organization. We mobilize Communities to offer holistic care to the children living with HIV/AIDS, Orphans, vulnerable groups (Widows, Women, Child Mothers, and Elderly). Gates Of Hope exists to speak for and defend the rights of Vulnerable Children/ people from all backgrounds regardless of the creed, race, tribe etc. Gates Of Hope helps the Vulnerable overcome obstacles of life that may cause them to give up with life. We address the , Economic, Social, Health and Educational developments. We are inspired by a dream where all Children living with AIDS/ Vulnerable groups regardless of their social background can look forward to a hopeful life through given opportunities;

INTERVATIONS.
* We provide welfare needs of the orphans and Children living with HIV/AIDS. (Medical support.
* We provide care and support to needy orphans in the community. For example, Clothing’s, sweaters, blankets, food security, food supplements.
* We enable the orphans access appropriate health services.
* We provide skills training (Tailoring,hair dressing,catering, knitting,agribusiness etc training to caregivers of Children living with HIV/AIDS, School drop outs(GIRLS). Single mothers (Economic empowerment).
* We enable Children access School by providing scholastic support.
* Protect children from all abuses.
* We offer nutrition to the malnourished Children.
* Provide eye glasses to the elderly.and all who have sight problems
* Give periodic support to inmates.
* Provide tools to PWDs to start up income generating activities.
* Offer psycho-social support to depressed persons. I.e Children effected with HIV/AIDS. Lobby for volunteer teachers to vulnerable children schools,single mothers skills training centers
* Train youth in life skills. ACTIVITIES.
* Distribution of scholastic materials to school going pupils.
* Identify and refer all children who effected with HIV/AIDS and refer them to near by health centers for treatment. .
* Train and encourage mother to join up saving groups where they are able to access money and be able to start up income generating activities.
* Train caregivers in tailoring skills
Child advocacy.
* Home visitation
* Train single mothers on home based care.
* Liaise with NGOs,churches, local government and well-wishers for support.
* Train women on menstrual hygiene.
* Supply of agro- seeds to community for food security.
